But wouldn't the Vikings be in first place because of their division record?Mothman wrote: The Vikes are tied with GB.
They both have a division win record of 1.00. In other words they are tied based on division record. It's hard to apply tie breakers this early in the season.808vikingsfan wrote: But wouldn't the Vikings be in first place because of their division record?
Oh no, it will hopefully be much more climactic then that.Rieux wrote:I believe Green Bay still technically holds the tiebreaker on the Vikings. The teams have the same 6-2 record, no head-to-head results, and identical 1.000 winning percentages against the NFC North—but against their common opponents (Chicago, Kansas City, San Francisco, St. Louis, San Diego, and Denver), the Packers are 5-1, while the Vikings are 4-2. Basically the teams' respective games in Santa Clara make the current difference.
Thankfully it's unlikely that the division race will, in the end, come down to that.
It will come down to whoever wins the week 17 match up will win the North title. The other will probably end up with a wildcard birth.Jordysghost wrote: Oh no, it will hopefully be much more climactic then that.
I've been both predicting and hoping for this since prior to the draft, lets hope its how it works out. We played the Lions last year week 17 for the division title, and the Bears the year before, its only fitting that we have the same honor against you guys.akvikingsfan wrote: It will come down to whoever wins the week 17 match up will win the North title.
