Teddy organized a great 5 minute drill and a great 2 minute drill for a 10 point swing in an outdoor road game against a divisional opponent.PurpleKoolaid wrote: The division games are the best, esp. the way we won. I'll say...S197 wrote: He goes often. I don't want to say this is the first game he's seen the Vikings win but it's been a while.
Glad he was there though. Can't wait to hear his thoughts.

Hmm Teddy Teddy Teddy what can you say?
In the aftermath of an exciting win I'm sure you're all going to say this and that about Teddy "haters", but you're being intellectually dishonest if you are going to claim that he had a good game or that he has, in general, played well because he just plain has not.
BUT the old adage that sometimes it's better to be lucky than good seems to apply here and I don't mind that. Ponder was never even LUCKY, so at least we are in a better place with Bridgewater even though I fear he is becoming a bigger liability with each passing week.
I'll take this one. As UNlucky as this team has historically been....

When the Bears went up 20-13, I was literally nauseated. Then Teddy took us down the field, and Diggs just lit up the Bears -- pandemonium! Man, what a huge win!
I need a drink.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.
Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 8
Peterson had 103 yards today. Walsh hit 3 field goals and two extra points. Given the punt return for a touchdown by Sherals, the Viking offense did just enough to win the game. Sometimes it goes like that in the NFL when a good (but not great) team comes out flat for three quarters. One of these days the entire team will put it all together for a game... That will be fun to watch. They have the potential.

Wash away any pre-conceived, negative takeaways we have about the team to this point and start anew with just a 5-2 record on a blank canvas and it looks pretty damn good, yeah?

So when bad things happen its because Teddy is bad
But when good things happen its pure luck

Thats a pretty slanted opinion. Teddy looked rough and needs to improve but I'll take a great outing one week and a poor outing that ends with him orchestrating two scoring drives in 5 minutes to win as a pretty okay couple of weeks.

He played his a$$ off when it counted. We haven't won in Chicago since AP was a rookie. You wanna complain, be my guest. But there's no raining on my parade.

Great win and I am eating crow.
I still have given up on Teddy. I am watching Carr now in the late games, and he is so far ahead of Teddy. Need to start working on Plan B
That said, great win. Awesome to snap a 7 year losing streak in SF. Always great to beat the Bears. Diggs, what can you say, what a complete STEAL in the 5th round. OL looked much much better. Defense looked great although they were definitely wearing down in the 4th.
It was a lucky lucky win, but a W is a W.
The remaining schedule is brutal. If they can go 4-5, they might sneak into the playoffs

Let's remember that the Packers only beat the Bears in Chicago by 8 points and Aaron Rodgers only threw for 189 yards.
