I still don't understand what was the reason the 10 secs had to be run off.. the refs called it a TD.

do they run off 10 secs after every play?

I think he works for FOX now, but you're right, idk what went down exactly.

The ref was talking to Zimmer, he had to know. The thinking is you can get up to the line and snap the ball quickly, with one timeout, you're not really in jeopardy of the clock running out. Hence the reason you RUN THE BALL instead of calling an 8 second pass play.
