There is just too much red flag with Freeman that even if he was released, I'm not sure I'd want the Vikes to pick him up, even if for cheap. Freeman isn't a trouble maker of the law or anything, but he seems…very lazy, very unmotivated, very unfootball smart like Ponder, and lacks the "it" factor. Too much red flag. I mean, no team is willing to trade for him? Really? Not even a puny 7th rounder? Something's got to be seriously wrong.

I forget what the article said but I think only the Jaguars have enough direct cap space to just absorb his current contract and as far as they go, I think they're more interested in just tanking the year and looking for a solution in the draft. If he gets released someone will pick him up for sure for the league minimum, though I'm not sure why the bucs would do it.

It just proves that even picking a franchize QB in the 1st round is a crap shoot at best.

Gabbert is the worst QB I've ever seen and I'm not new to this.

My guess is TB will have to eat the contract and just do what they gotta do to move on and that's release him. I still don't know if it's worth it for Minnesota, but that all depends the things that we don't know about his character/drug addiction or if there is anything like that.

I'd take him over any of our 3 current QBs in the present but as for the future I want one of the QB out of the upcoming draft class. Freeman is just a middle of the road QB at best.

I'd take him as well. Either as a stop gap, or a backup. Draft a guy no matter what we do. We could cut Ponder and MBT tomorrow and be a better team for it...
