I don't feel sorry for him for a second. He took the money and knew what he was getting into...he was a 30 year old WR at the end of his career looking to cash in. If he wanted to put up stats and win, he would have taken the deal from Green Bay.

Ponder isn't the best deep ball thrower but isn't that what the fans wanted right? For Ponder to throw more deep passes this season. Yes those passes were ugly but I salute Ponder for atleast attempting to make some plays downfield. Last season he only completed TWO passes over 30 yards. This year, already in one game he complete a few big passes to Simpson and Jennings.

No, they were not pretty passes but for a guy who is just now trying to establish his deep ball accuracy, what would you expect???

Just now?

It wasn't just the deep ball. He had that throw to Jennings, I guess a back foot throw? And then a couple other just horribly inaccurate ducks that were short passes. Deep ball...he wasn't even accurate on the short passes.

1st half he was 6-9
Second half he was 12-19.

He wasn't that inaccurate.

At $10 million per year, Greg Jennings is anything but poor.

did you watch the game? our receivers were having to make some incredibly accrobatic moves to catch those passes that were completed...

No I just made up these numbers in my head. Yes a couple of those passes were poorly thrown but that's why we have a Jerome Simpson and Greg Jennings. If Ponder would have never attempt to throw a deep pass, people would complain that he never takes any deep shots downfield. He finally does takes some deep shots downfield, it wasn't pretty but our WRs still managed to catch it and people are still complaining.

I don't think people would complain about those throws had we won.

I bet Jennings would love to have Cassel or even MBT throwing him the ball.

Poor Greg Jennings is a multi millionaire. But I bet reality hit him real hard after trying to catch (and actually catching) some of Ponders throws.

Rough start for #Vikings' Greg Jennings
Other WRs on new teams were productive; the Vikings need to extend drives and target the ex-Packers star more as the season goes on.
Frazier spent a large portion of his Monday news conference answering questions about offensive weapons that weren’t fired nearly enough. Of course, that’s going to happen when your team converts only two of 10 third-down situations, holds the ball for 23 minutes, 41 seconds and runs only 53 plays.

When it came to third-down conversions in Week 1, only the Browns (1-for-14) converted fewer than the Vikings. As far as number of plays, only the Panthers (49) and Chargers (51) ran fewer. And, yes, the Vikings’ total of 53 was exactly the number of plays that Chip Kelly’s hyper Eagles ran in the first half of Monday night’s game at Washington.
