Maybe they don't trust Ponder when they're running into traffic.acousticrock wrote:Maybe that's why Ponder doesn't trust his WRs and gets happy feet?

At least when teams cut their dbs, offensive linemen lb's, and qb's we can grab a couple, they wont be any worse then this crew

Oh give me a break. So every player that celebrates is a "little kid" and has a "trash attitude"? Good to know.Adrianpeterson28mvp wrote:Let the little kid and his trash attitude enjoy the only thing he'll do in an "nfl game" against an "nfl team"

Hard to say. It would have been a nice slant pass though if Burton would have kept running...PurpleKoolaid wrote: I have a feeling the play was supposed to stop where Burton was but who knows. He didn't put any effort into it when the bakll was in the air..

For all the Ponder haters wondering why he doesn't trust his receivers, Burton just killed his route as the hot read slant... As many plays as Burton has made this preseason that one is going to stand out as a huge negative. You don't do that if you want to play in the NFL...
Re: Vikings @ 49ers Game Day Discussion Thread -- Preseason
Collingsworth tried to blame that on Burton but if he continues the pattern, the throw would have led him directly into the oncoming LB who would have taken his head off. Ponder should have recognized that and IMO the ball should not have been thrown into that coverage.

You'll recall that Burton almost got killed reaching for an overthrown sideline pass in the 1st quarter... cuts both ways.mondry wrote:For all the Ponder haters wondering why he doesn't trust his receivers, Burton just killed his route as the hot read slant... You are correct sir... Burton saw a train coming.radar55 wrote:Collingsworth tried to blame that on the wideout but if he continues the pattern, the throw would have led him directly into the oncoming LB who would have taken his head off. I am actually looking forward to seeing Matt Cassel. What a sad stat the Vikings are in.
