I also think the Twins should trade Morneau. Maybe send Morneau, Slowey, Young, and a prospect to Seattle for King Felix, or some type of similar deal with another team. Heck, throw Liriano in and they could get a good reliever in the deal too.
I agree, Morneau should be traded, but I doubt he will be. Isnt Morneau in the last season of his contract?? If so dont the Twins need to trade him prior to the trade deadline to avoid him becoming a FA? Young and Slowey, they can go too. Lariano, Id like to keep. Without him, we have all contact pitchers, not that Lariano is an ace or anything, but we need a little variety in the rotation IMO.
As far as Mauer at 1st, I hope they keep him there, his bat has woken up, and far less chance for the dredded "leg soreness".
