Mediacom blows just as much

Run into some old friends from another group or board? Want to do a little schmoozing, talk over old times? Or just some off topic stuff, then this is the place.

Mediacom blows just as much

Post by dead_poet »

Get this crap. I have my brand-new shiny HD TV but I've been waiting a MONTH for Mediacom to hook me up with their HD box. Very frustrating to now have HD capability but not being able to receive the signal due to the entire STATE being backordered on these **(!^@!#&*^@ things. :wallbang:

That's not even the half of it. I'm on a waiting list to an invisible pretend company. "Invisible" meaning I can't call and ask where I am on the list because everywhere I look for my local Mediacom provider lists ONLY the national 800 number. I check the phone book, Internet, Chamber of Commerce Web site and they don't even list an address. Just the @!#@&(*#Y) 800 number again. I just have to assume I'm on a list somewhere because I told Mediacom I needed the box. Think they could check where I am on the list? Nope. That'd be far too convenient. "We don't have access to the list," they say. "Suck my balls" I reply.

Plus, I'm supposed to pick this thing up if/whenever it comes in. My question is...where? I already mentioned there's no address for these people. Maybe if I wish it hard enough they will appear.

I'm convinced the Vikings have lost their first two games because I can't watch them in high-def.

Me angry.

See the link below. These are good forums for cable tv and broadband internet issues. Maybe someone there can help out.

Can you just buy the box from somewhere else, like eBay, and install it yourself?
