Week 15: Colts @ Vikings predictions

Post by CharVike »

I see a win in this one. The Colts are on a 3 game slide with an interim HC. Getting Bradbury back will help get Cook rolling which is needed. I think he'll have a good game. KOC didn't seem positive about Darrisaw coming back this week and Brandel has a bum ankle. On D I don't see any changes and we will open in our 3-4 heavy package which provides nothing but freedom for the QB. Looks like Dantzler is battling an illness which isn't good. Ryan or whoever should have a field day standing there and waiting for people to clear our dumping off into the flat. Be nice to get some pressure on the QB but that seems to be impossible at this point. I think 27-24.

Vikings win.

They score a last second field goal or the colts miss a game winning field goal.

Would love to see one blow out win

No score prediction, but I will predict the Vikings defense finally changes some things up and gets a lot more aggressive overall. The Colts will likely face looks that haven't been on tape all season and I think it's going to cause them a lot of problems.

Offensively, assuming the Vikings get Darrisaw and Bradbury back I expect them to try to re-establish an effective ground game and get back to basics overall. KOC got a little too rigid and cutesy on offense against the Lions. This should be a game that sees the offense emphasize execution of fundamentals and tailor play calls to the down-distance situation they find themselves in.

I think the Vikings bounce back in a big way against the Colts. If there is any other result I will be really worried as the team heads into the stretch run of the regular season. This is a game the Vikings should be able to win comfortably if there ever was one this season.

Considering this is one of the worst teams in the NFL, we had better win.
