Re: NFL Draft game
I went with Fanspeak so I don't have to register, but here is one flavor of mock draft.
48: R2P16
OT RODERICK JOHNSON
FLORIDA STATE
79: R3P15
C ETHAN POCIC
LSU
86: R3P22
OT ADAM BISNOWATY
PITTSBURGH
119: R4P14
C PAT ELFLEIN
OHIO STATE
127: R4P22
G ISAAC ASIATA
UTAH
161: R5P16
G AVERY GENNESY
TEXAS A&M
200: R6P15
LB JAYON BROWN
UCLA
235: R7P14
DL JOSH TUPOU
COLORADO
Unlike last years OL selection (Beavers) I think all of these OL guys are probably good enough to make the team. Also, there is a lot of versatility, with Posic, and Gennesy both being potential 4-5 position linemen. That leaves room for probably 3 of last years Offensive Linemen. Fusco and Harris are gone, Kalil, Long, A. Smith, and TJ Clemmings and Beavers can be let go as well. Which leaves Hill, Sirles, Easton, Kerin, Lucas, Fregal, and Shephard to compete with each other for 1 spot (or to unseat Berger/Boone). I'm mostly presuming that Berger and Boone are safe (although both could be jettisoned as soon as next season) so they might not be a sure thing if they can get close to similar production from younger/cheaper players. Frankly, I think that is a real possibility, as I don't think either were better than average.
Jayon Brown completes the UCLA LB corps and Tupou is a run stuffer who could pair well with Linval (putting Linval at 3) on early downs to allow Kendricks to run wild. He's 2 dimensional, but you are getting a guy in the 7th who could make an immediate impact by doing one thing really well.
Obviously this won't happen, but it could allow the Vikings to focus on other areas of need (RB, LB, S) via free agency.

Whffing on an OT hurts, but getting three of the top interior linemen would make a huge impact on this teams fortunes going forward. Taylor and Perine could make immediate impacts. Jones, Thomas, and Moreau add depth to the secondary where its hard to have enough depth in todays NFL. Plus if Moreau works out, he'll have the greatest nickname for a DB since Night Train...The Island of Dr. Moreau! The only other thing missing is Weston Steelhammer. If the Vikings can't add him as a rookie FA they are failing. Nobody with that name shoud play for anybody but the Vikings.
