Frazier D Does it Again xD

Post by Reignman »

Way to go Frazier, your team had a late lead and your defense allowed a 3rd string bum to march down field on your soft defense and kick a game winning FG. That 3rd string bum also went 22/29 (75%) for 235 yards (8.1 avg) and threw no picks. And this a week after allowing Derek Anderson to go 24/34 (70.5%) for 230 yards (6.8 avg), 2 TD's, and no picks. Good luck holding onto any kind of lead this year Tampa.

Our defence with most of the same components looks markedly better than last year already despite the buttwhooping last week.

To be fair though, I'm pretty sure Lovie has the reigns over the Tampa D even though Frazier has been a proponent of a similar (outdated??) defence and is in charge of executing it in Tampa.

Did you see that brutal defensive performance by the Bucs Thursday night? Ouch! Even the announcers were amazed at how wide open and how often, all game long the Falcons receivers were. Phil Simms was almost beside himself when he kept bringing it up. I could see him thinking to himself, man I could suit up right now and carve up that defense too lol. And he's probably right.

Now the whole world knows what we had to suffer through for the last few years.

Yeah, and this is really why I was so adamant about the coaching and scheme problems. It was quite obvious really that yes we didn't have the probowl team out there but there were MASSIVE problems in the scheme and defensive philosophy being used. It was 100% expected that Tampa's defense would take a massive hit this season for me, but maybe their players just need to execute better?

Ha! That reminds me of when John McKay (former coach of the Bucs) was asked about his teams execution, he said he was in favor of it xD. I so hope a reporter asked Lovie the same question Thursday night (I missed the presser), but I'm sure it would have went right over his head anyway ... like another Matt Ryan completion vs his defense.

The Bucs only have the 2nd worst pass defense though in terms of rating. They're allowing a 76.9 completion pct, and a 117.2 rating in 3 games. The Chiefs have allowed a 126.9 rating thus far in 2 games.

And which team is tied for the league lead in fewest passing TD's allowed? Da Vikings. We've only allowed 1 passing TD so far. And we're 9th in the league in rating against at 79.7. Tough batch of QB's coming up though lol.

They're going to look at some film.

The only "good" game they had was in Pittsburgh. I wonder if they will set a record for most points allowed?

Lol. I am not gonna pile on Frazier anymore, but I mean, come on. Mark Barron, Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David, Alterun Verner, Michael Johnson, and Dashon Goldson, and you still cannot have an efficient defense? It appears that the Cover 2 defense is on life-support. It simply doesn't work in the NFL anymore.
