Dynasty league?

It's perhaps a wee bit early to talk fantasy football but I'd like to throw a hook out there and see if I catch anything

Last year a friend of mine tried to set up a Dynasty League on RSO, unfortunately we didn't get enough participants to launch that league last season.
Aaaanyway, I was wondering if any of you guys are in a Dynasty League that might get an open spot this season, or if you know of a newly started league that needs another member.

Let me know if you got anything for me, or hear of anything.

I'd like to get into a dynasty league as well. I've been trying for a couple years and haven't found one. It's tough to get into. For a new league you need a good group of people who will stick around for years, which can be difficult to put together. The other option is to join an established league, meaning you'll most likely be taking over a terrible team and already be at a big disadvantage. It's tough to sign up for a situation like that and put your money on the line.

Does anyone know a good platform for a dynasty league?
I like RSO that I mentioned, but you have to pay a fee to use it, so it might not be everybody's cup of tea...

I wonder what an optimal number of participants would be?
7 interested so far.. I think the minimum will be at least 10.

If we decide to do it, I'd suggest using ESPN - I'm personally not a fan of Yahoo. That said, if the majority prefers Yahoo, I'd still be game.

I've done some super-quick research on Dynasty platforms and this is a quick rundown(of the best):

ESPN - Free, somewhat simpler league/rules format
MyFantasyLeague - Paid yearly(by commish), a lot of features and customisation options, been around a long, long time.
RealitySportsOnline - Paid yearly(by team owners), a ton of features and customisation options, quite new, supposedly great support.


To be honest I would like to see a league with Auction Draft, Contracts... a bit more realistic if you will.
But of course the majority will decide. I'll do some more research and the put up a poll and we can decide on a platform together.
(I won't mind eating the cost of a MFL league if needed)

From a fantasy guy I follow on Twitter...was asked tips for dynasty leagues. His thoughts:

no trade vetoes, no week 17 SB. No giant rosters to keep WW active. No Kickers/Defense.

He likes start 3 WRs + 2 Flex.
