2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread - Round 2 & 3
A little less than an hour away. From a Vikings standpoint, it would be good to see a QB run.
Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread - Round 2 & 3
Carr to Oakland was "suppose" to surprise us all at #5 so the 2nd time around I see it as almost a sure thing. Unless Houston wants to give 2 carr's a shot or they trade the pick to someone else.
There is a ton of talent left, if the right guy does slide I could totally see the first 3rd + that 5th from the browns being used to go after someone.

Yeah, there's pretty much no way that HOU is going to take Carr. I could imagine Garoppolo, but maybe they'll get Mallet and roll with him as the rumor going around has suggested. Who's going to end up with Marquise Lee? That guy looked like a top 10 pick a year ago.

I wonder about the Mallet thing, wouldn't they have already traded with NE if that was a serious move they want to make? Or maybe NE will be happy to take a pick off them for next year after the dust settles a little bit.Texas Vike wrote:

Yeah, I'm not sure. Wouldn't surprise me that it was BS either.mondry wrote: I wonder about the Mallet thing, wouldn't they have already traded with NE if that was a serious move they want to make? Or maybe NE will be happy to take a pick off them for next year after the dust settles a little bit.
There's still guys worth taking at QB, but I did think that things dropped off after the top 2-3. Glad we got Teddy.

I agree. I can see a small run on RB's toward the middle/end of the 2nd round as well. I say mini, because there's only a few top tier RB's in this draft and I'd like Minnesota to get one of them.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:I think your going to see a QB run and a OG run.

Where's that QB run?
Edit: OK, Carr to OAK. Saw that coming… who'll be the next QB, Garoppolo?

Glad to see Hageman taken. Kid has a very heart-wrenching story. Good for him.

Oh so they let the guys who get left out in the 2nd round pick later? Cool. Just curious as I don't watch much draft after round 1. In fact I am about to turn it off as I don't watch much College Football and after round 1 I am pretty lost.
