so what's the point of the NFL Honor's Award Show for announcing the end of season awards live on tv when they spoil it and post it as breaking news on the website way before the award is announced.

case in point MVP award winner is already up a good half hour before it will be announced live - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000 ... fifth-time

Yeah. Definitely foolish. I've been getting the texts from ESPN for a couple hours now. I was looking for it on TV when the texts started coming in...and then I was like, "...oh yeah. I remember how this works." Dumb.

Do they always announce the NFL MVP the day before the Super Bowl? Seems kind of stupid, as it may give opponents a little more fuel going into the game and influence the outcome.

that wasn't the issue - the nfl created this honor's show to announce winners live but even the nfl website and others such as espn are leaking everything before it is announced live.

It would be like watching the oscars only to have the oscars website post the winners list before the envelopes are unsealed live.
