Pro Bowl
They are actually putting more than half arsed effort into it this year. I think I have seen 2 or 3 sacks so far. Patterson even got walloped on a punt return because he didn't call for the fair catch.

Re: Pro Bowl
not regular season intensity, never expect that.
But nice to see a little effort.

Tolbert's hit on Kuechly, Johnson's hit on Charles, and Ward's hit on Gordon - gotta love that.

I'm enjoying it, definitely an upgrade from past years.

Re: Pro Bowl
Everything about this years "pro bowl" is a train wreck. First they let Rice and Sanders pick teams in some sort of gimmicky pro bowl draft thing and televise the whole thing. I made it to the 3rd or 4th pick before I literally fell asleep. Wow, what a tough draft, only 2 teams and they're picking from a pool of the best players in the league.
Then apparently they let Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder design the uniforms because that's really the only thing that can explain why I'm looking at the most hideous uniforms on a football field ever. Seriously what an assault on the eyesight. Hey lets have 1 team wear all light gray and the other all white, each with chrome numbers, and highlighted by obnoxiously bright fluorescent stripes. I couldn't even see the numbers on the white team (team Sanders?). I just don't get it. I mean was this game meant to be played on the street at night or did they want to send everyone home with a migraine? Yeah it's just too hard to actually pay attention to the game itself with my eyes under constant attack.
And no kickoffs, but we'll have punts? Each possession starts at the 25? 2 minute warnings at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters? What the hell is this? What are they doing to football? This looks more like a Roger Goodell experiment. Is this the future of the NFL? And of course 11 star players are missing because we just gotta keep playing this game before the Super Bowl for some odd reason. To top it all off lets have the Fall Out Boys come on the field at half time and just sing whoaaa whoaaa over and over and make my ears bleed. Mission complete Goodell, all 5 senses assaulted in 1 game.
And how is Luke Kuechly so good? He looks like a little boy. Most puzzling of all though, is why the heck am I still watching this? I guess it's just hard to turn away from a bad train wreck.

Re: Pro Bowl
What a decent game and way better than the recent years. Going for 2 and the win by team rice was the kicker.
Purple Pride till the end.
Re: Pro Bowl
Well it looked like an exciting finish but that was a pretty poor tackling effort there at the end from team Sanders that let team Rice score. To me it seemed like the players were only trying once in awhile and it seemed rather random. There would be a hard hit on one play and then some lack of effort on the next. And what the heck was that at the end? Why didn't Cromartie's 108 yd missed FG return for a TD count? The crowd was pretty sparse throughout the game as well so I think even Hawaii is bored of this yearly circus.
Sadly I think they'll milk this new format for a few years and when it gets boring they'll try a new gimmick. Frankengoodell will keep using this game to test his little game changing experiments. It's going to take a major injury to a big name player to finally put this clown show out of it's misery.
