Norv Turner is in the fold too

Post by PurpleHalo »

It's being reported this morning by Shefter that he is in as OC.

Not happy with this for one reason, it almost assures that the Browns draft manziel. :steamed:

You're jumping the gun a bit. Nothing was said that he is in, no reports either. It looks as though its going to go that way, but this is a little soon.

Shefter is a pretty credible source, he said it's a done deal.

Immenent is done as far as I'm concerned. But this could be good, or be blah. It isn't the early 90s in Dallas.

Just heard on ESPN Radio that Norv Turner is the new OC and his son Scott who worked with Philip Rivers in San Diego is going to be the new QBCoach since he knows exactly what his dad wants out of the QB position. Also heard that Zimmer's son is expected to be named Defensive Backs Coach. Raiders News is reporting that ST Coach Bobby April could be heading to Minnesota in the same capacity. Both our O-Line and D-Line coaches are expected to be retained. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Musgraves offense looked nice when Cassel ran it, I think he got a bad rap here. I wouldn't wanna run a Ponder lead offense either. It's like asking a drunk driver to command a finely tuned NASCAR.

I have to go to class at 9:30. Hopefully we get back home they will upload an interview of our new coaching staff. I wonder he keep priefer, considering the drama that's currently behind him with the Kluwe story?

There is a rumor about a guy from the Raiders staff coming in as ST coach.

I will be sad to see Priefer go, I think he has legitimate NFL coaching talent and I think our ST were awesome under him. That being said, I'm glad Zimmer is assembling his staff this quickly. It appears as if there is a plan in place for the staff.

Lets hope that they are able to uncover some QB gold at the Senior Bowl.

Is Prifer for sure gone?

Cassel, who was the fourth-most accurate deep passer in the league last season, could also provide a serviceable stopgap until or unless the Vikings get a franchise quarterback.
Really???
