Would you trade for him?

Would Vikes make the trade for him?

Intriguing.

The player? Yes. The person? No.

So...no. :(

Tempting, though. Tempting. I feel ashamed even considering it. Geez, how desperate!

I would. He's only 31. I think he has a few good years left in him. But what I would trade for him I don't know. I definitely wouldn't give up a 1st or 2nd round pick for him.

This team went to a then 39 year old Brett Favre's house begging him to come out of retirement. This is nothing...

Age has nothing to do with it, James. You live under a rock down there in Alabama? You should know why I don't want him. That's why I feel embarrassed even thinking about it. I need help. The Vikings are making me compromise my values? Ugh. No!

I would trade for him...mainly for AP's sake.

Vikes have an extra 3rd from Harvin trade (right?), start with that and add value as needed to get trade done.

He is good. lol It has to be something else behind this reason of you not being fond of him.

Really?

Off-the-field stuff aside, I wouldn't hate it if they traded for him. He's an "in his prime" franchise QB with lots of success...which makes it very hard to believe that the Steelers will deal him. I think this is more a way of Ben trying to goad the organization into making some changes, rather than truly wanting to leave Pittsburgh.

He could fit in well in Minnesota. The team will be playing home games outdoors the next two years and Big Ben is used to that and the cold weather. Plus, he's used to receiving little-to-no pass protection so he'll feel right at home behind our line!

Yeah... it makes a ton of sense given where AD's at in his career to get ben but the out of shape rapist side of him never really appealed to me. He's pretty much up there with Vicks dog fighting imo, but his problem is a bit easier to cover up with money.

Depends on what they want, but yes I would, and then still draft a QB high (like Murray or Mettenberger) to sit behind him for a few seasons. I don't think the Vikings will even attempt it unfortunately., I have a bad feeling that they will continue to back Ponder and not draft a QB right away, and then reach for a small school QB like they did with Jackson.

Then after he gets hurt (again) due to weak pass protection, what happens then?

He's good, he's a winner, him and AD working together would make for some good football, but yeah he has that whole rape thing going on. It'd be hard to root for a guy like that. The other thing is I doubt he'd want to come to our dysfunctional organization because that's why he wants out of Pittsburgh.
