http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Defe ... hers1016131) The Vikings continued to give up outstanding completion percentages to opposing quarterbacks with one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. Newton's 20-of-26 set a career-high for his completion percentage at 76.9% and the Vikings have now allowed 141-of-209 [67.5%], for nearly 1600 passing yards and 12 touchdowns to seven interceptions across five games. Sunday was actually the fewest passing yards and completions allowed by a Vikings defense all season, but that was mainly due to a 21-3 lead to start the second half after receiver Brandon LaFell's 79-yard touchdown on the third play. The Panthers were held to 3.4-yards per carry, but still had the points cushion to run it 34 times in the game.

If this continues, it will not matter who the QB is.
Vikings fan since Nov. 6, 1966. Annoying Packer fans since Nov. 7, 1966

I totally agree. They have been pretty bad in all aspects of playing defense. They have been following up that bad play by not tackling. They are pretty below average right now. And it doesn't help that the offense cannot stay on the field.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

which some people have been saying all year. I gave them a pass on the first game because they were on the field all damn game and I didn't know any better. but this defense is terrible and it doesn't matter who we throw out there; we won't win until it improves dramatically.Raptorman wrote:If this continues, it will not matter who the QB is.

Well it wont look any better this Monday, it looks like Harrison Smith will be out for a while.

Ugly article about the Vikings defense, but well deserved.
The defense has been garbage all season and I don't see it improving any time soon.

Hmmm. One of our best defenders not playing for an already abysmal defense. Sounds like a recipe for success!
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!

I still find it laughable that Fraizer doesn't think our secondary has issues, and they let Winfield go, without trying to restructure, with no replacements. I mean they wont even replace Robinson with someone else. It baffles my mind.
