I wouldn't do it, but there is a legit argument either way.

Re: yardbarkers take on Peterson.
A 28-year-old runningback just won't get that kind of trade value in a passing league, even if he is Adrian Peterson. I don't think we could hope for much more than what we got for Percy Harvin. The Vikings are better off not even thinking about it, because just floating trade rumors seems to irk players.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:Five NFL Trades That Should Happen Right Now
Let's tell it like it is: Adrian Peterson is being wasted in Minnesota, especially with Christian Ponder at quarterback.
After giving Tony Romo a six-year, $108 million contract extension in 2013, the Cowboys are in "win it now mode," so what better way to embody this attitude than to trade for who might possibly be the league's best player.
Peterson will be back in his home state of Texas and the Cowboys can repay the Vikings for the lopsided Herschel Walker trade that helped springboard their dynasty of the '90
If the Cowboys would match the trade the Vikings gave them then I would regretfully would have to say hell yes. Will maybe
