I hate to burst your bubble twice in one statement, but here it goes ... our franchise is so dumb that even if we had the #1 pick we wouldn't have taken Luck or RG3 because at the time, our franchise was convinced it had it's franchise guy. We would have traded down and Cleveland would be ruining Lucks career right now.

At the time reports were that Spielman would have taken RGIII if we had the pick. Smoke screen? Why were the reports even out there. He did like him though was the talk. Would he have? Doubtful.

You CAN'T mess with this freaking position. 7 years since we drafted Jackson. And then Ponder. Only success we had...was with Favre.

We've never been bad enough, at the time we needed a QB, to get one. And TBH even after losing to the Browns I think we won't be in a position to get an elite QB prospect. I hope so, finally. But Browns aren't going to mess around again, they thought RGIII would last last time, and someone traded up. They're going to get their guy no matter what. Jags as well. Do we really want to settle? No thanks.

And just like last time, if that means signing a stop gap, starting a guy who isn't going to get us to the playoffs, fine. We can't take the 3rd best QB just because we need a QB. We did that last time, and the time before. If we're there, trade up, even if it hurts, and get Bridgewater.

It really doesn't make any difference because with this O line we could have P. Manning and our offense would still suck

Yes it will make a difference!!!!!! You secure a top QB period!!!!!!! You can't be saying Ponder is going to take us to glory as long as we just draft a couple interior olinemen? Trenches matter in the NFL, I know this, but you can't polish a turd and go grab rings.

I am starting to think this team needs Johnny Moxy.

I don't know if that makes me feel better lol. I mean it would be better to have RG3 over Ponder by far, but if Frazier would have taken RG3 over Luck I would have been mad. But it doesn't matter, I'm now convinced this staff wouldn't be using either of them right anyway and they'd probably look like busts in the vaunted Musgrave system.

I think our strength of schedule was just slightly higher than the Colts.
Even with a loss against WAS we would have had the #2 pick...

Oh the irony. Seeing Frazier so happy during the press conference after that win.

Just like our receivers, and offensive line were garbage...then Favre shows up and we're a play away from the super bowl.

Manning knows how to read a defense so he'd pick apart the blitz. Plus he gets rid of the ball twice as fast as Ponder. And nobody can blame our receivers anymore. We have above average targets for Ponder and he hasn't shown any progress.

You can even say he has regressed some.....

His first game he started didnt he go for like 350 and 2-3 TDs vs Green Bay?

Imagine Manning with AD, Patterson, Rudolph, Carlson, etc. in the flat.

Favre took a horrid head coach, an okay not great WR core, had them 1 play from NFC champs. This isn't your daddys NFL, just some things you must have, a QB with Moxy is one. I think Johnny Manziel has some of that moxy you can't coach. Backyard football, gambler mentality, attitude......Sorta reminds me of a certain number 4 in a way.
