Browns Trent Richardson Traded to Colts

Post by Tark10 »

They continue to be the team they are. Browns acquire 2014 1st round pick.

If there is any team that makes worse personnel moves than the Vikigns... it is the Browns. Yikes.

There has to be more to this. Maybe a Percy Harvin type situation? I have a feeling this may have been initiated on Richardson's side.

Probably a smart move by the Browns. Can't believe the Colts are so desperate for a running back that they gave up a 1st round pick for Richardson, who hasn't exactly lit it up yet in his career. He had just 3.6 ypc in his rookie year. (His 51 receptions is promising, though.)

The Factory of Sadness crunched the numbers and realized they weren't going to make quota so they decided to move in a bold, proactive direction.

wow,

Don't know what to say about this. What's up Alabama RBs not working out too great in the NFL? The One the Saints drafted that was so touted isn't lighting it up either

All I know is: If the Vikings don't come out with a win NOW, I'm not even clicking on "Vikings Talk" until after our first win. That's one thing I'm sure of.

I think it's safe to assume that entire roster is on the trade block. I wonder if there's anyone Spielman would be interested in?

This could end up being a brilliant move by the Browns. Richardson hasn't shown much in the NFL. The Colts seem like a fringe team this year and the Browns will obviously suck. They'll have an opportunity to draft two impact players in the 1st round next year. I would think a lot of Browns fans are probably happy about this...the Weeden/Richardson direction was already showing strong signs of going nowhere. Why prolong the pain? Just rip the band-aid off in one swift motion and let the healing begin.

Lol hilarious.

Haha, that's exactly what I was just thinking. That would be something.

I haven't felt this confident about a Vikings win since the Bucs game last year and that .... oh wait.

When I heard an insider say that a big trade was about to go down, I felt that if the rumor was real and given what we know about the consternation in Tampa, that it was going to be Josh Freeman getting his wish and being traded....to the Vikings! I was serious too.

The Colts are going to have a good squad now. They already have a talented QB in Andrew Luck, now with the addition of Trent Richardson, they are going to be a tough team to stop. As for the Brown, they seem to be turning in this season already. If the Vikings somehow manage to lose this game, I wouldn't know what to say.

This should be an EASY win.

Rob Chudzinski - OT - Browns

CEO Joe Banner insists the Browns aren't tanking the season in order to land Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater in the 2014 draft.

Perhaps "tanking" isn't a fair word, but the Browns are doing well to stockpile 2014 picks. Following Wednesday's shocking trade of Trent Richardson, they'll have 10 picks overall including two first-rounders, two third-rounders and two fourth-rounders. It's a valid way to rebuild a team, and they gave up a player at the game's most replaceable position. Bridgewater, the consensus top quarterback that will be available in April, should be in Banner's crosshairs.

Yeah this is all about positioning themselves to get the top QB in next year's draft. Richardson was drafted by the previous regime in Cleveland, the current management doesn't care about him. And RB in this league is pretty replaceable now. It's really a good trade for both sides, since the Colts are in a position where they have enough talent elsewhere to forgo a 1st rounder next year to bring in a still very young, good RB. Browns get to have their pick of QB's next year.

I'll laugh my #### off if Cleveland can't trade up high enough to get their guy like last year with RG3 though!
