For some fun. The Bills have named Jeff Tuel the starting QB for their first game. They play the Pats. So how does he do?
Jeff who? Yeah, that's what I said.

Doesn't he only start if EJ isn't ready?
Week 2? He doesn't start? I thought you said he was named the starter? Some screw ups in this post.
I like the fun, though. Not enough general football talk around here.

Well he as been named the starter, I think mainly to get him ready. They have less then two weeks and are not sure if Manuel will be medically cleared. Kolb's career may be over. And apparently Tuel is the next man up.MelanieMFunk wrote:Doesn't he only start if EJ isn't ready?

"Meaning New England. Right now that's how we're going about planning on doing it until we know more about where EJ is."

I think they will get creamed! The Patriots will confuse him beyond belief. He may be solid in the league who knows, but not in this spot. He wont even play better than Ponder.

Never liked Jeff Tuel at Washington State. He was a softy and never got the job done. Quite honestly, I was surprised he held onto an NFL roster, let alone a week 1 starter. Maybe by default, but either way...good for him.
I've heard whispers that Manuel will start anyway and that Marrone said what he did just to have fun with the media or non-chalantly state claim to something he didn't care if the media ran with.

Yep. I have Spokane ties, so WSU news catches my ear. IIRC his record was atrocious there (just looked it up: 4-22). Bad team, and he didn't help any. And I think he was beaten out by sophomore Connor Halliday (who I pull for because he went to my church in Spokane).PacificNorseWest wrote:Never liked Jeff Tuel at Washington State. If Tuel can play QB at the NFL level, that shows you just how badly WSU is coached.

They should sign Teeebow!

In yesterday's presser, Doug Marrone said E.J. would be starting on Sunday.
