I like that Jared is always very professional when interviewed. Along with being professional, he will tell you exactly whats on his mind. Its nice to hear him say good things about Jennings, and I liked how he talked about needing to see Patterson on the field in camp before he judges him. Sounds like our defensive players are all pretty excited about the upcoming season. SKOL!

Jarad Allen made a comment in the last year I didn't really like about taking less money, he would look for
the door, if asked that.

I liked the fact that he wanted to honor his side of the contract as well. If nothing
else he was fair about this

Honor it how? What choice does he have? Not that I expect it's very difficult to show up when you're getting paid $17M. Very admirable.

Allen seems upbeat about the current team. But he's right about needing to see Patterson and everyone else in action before making any judgements.

As for Allen's contract, I believe him when he says his focus is on getting healthy and playing well this year.

7. I think Jordy Nelson is one of the most underrated guys in the NFL. He doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves. He should’ve been on the Pro Bowl team a couple of years ago and he wasn’t even on the ballot.
I think the Packers indifference about losing Greg Jennings is the single biggest compliment that Jordy Nelson could receive.
8. I think the most underrated position in the NFL is that one great cover guy on kicks. Every team has that one guy who’s just legit. Unfortunately, with the new Pro Bowl, that guy gets eliminated from the equation. As a defensive player, that guy is invaluable to us.
And yet every team has one. LOL. Who would that be for the Vikings? Everson Griffen? Jamarca Sanford? Larry Dean?
9. I think if I could change one NFL rule I’d change the stupid thigh pad, knee pad rule. And I’d let us be able to hit people again … But the pad rule is driving me crazy. It’s a marketing scheme so Nike can sell the kids all the pads. I want to see the stats that say knee pads are saving ACLs.
I actually love this new rule. As far as I'm concerned it's a uniform consistency rule more than anything else. I've always hated the no-pad look, which tends to make everyone look like they're wearing leotards. Just not a good look for about 95% of the players in the league.
