The Gophers football program officially accepted an invitation to the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas on Dec. 28 in Houston. Minnesota's opponent from the Big 12 will be named later Sunday.
"It is an honor to accept this invitation," Gophers AD Norwood Teague said in a statement.
