Sid Hartman: Santana, Hunter not selected as All-Stars

Post by PurpleMustReign »

While the Twins had three players picked to the All-Star Game for the third year in a row, two of their 2007 All-Stars weren't picked for this year's game

Interesting. I figured we'd be missing Santana far more than we do at this point. I've heard some reports saying his velocity and movement are not what they used to be.
As for Hunter, he is severely overpaid in Anaheim. While he was good, I think what the Twins offered him is a more fair amount than what he is getting there.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

I think in the end, we'll miss Santana, but there are players picking up Hunters slack. If we had Santana, (at a lesser salary) we would be dangerous IMO. We count on our bats way too much and our pitching way too little. Santana would go a long way to improve us this season IMO. They are very fun to watch this season IMO. 50 wins by the all star break is a pleasant surprise for me, if our pitching was close to as good as last couple seasons, Im guessing we'd be in the drivers seat.
