Hopefully it's a lot closer to a Welker deal then a Wallace deal at least.ibleedPurple wrote:@heftsj

Re: Vikings vs Packers (again) for Jennings
Imo Ponder would have to have an absolutely awful 2013 for that to happen, I'm talking like no doubt at all he's not going to be "the guy." And if that is the case, I highly imagine our #1 draft pick would be spent on getting the best QB available in the draft or trade or free agency and cassel would still be the back up.

This kind of reminds me of the Houschmanzada and Tomlinson stories. Wine them and dine them... Will Jennings leave?

Seriously, would the Vikings pay Wallace money ($30 mil/2yrs) for Jennings? I hope not. Heck, I'm happy they didn't pay Wallace money for Wallace.Demi wrote: Hopefully it's a lot closer to a Welker deal then a Wallace deal at least.

This would make me happy, Jennings, a first round WR, Simpson and Wright is a good wr corp and should be able to pull a lot of the eight man fronts off a.p.ibleedPurple wrote:@heftsj

Lets not get too excited... Idk how much credibility this guy had. His source may be John Skrotum or something.allday1991 wrote: This would make me happy, Jennings, a first round WR, Simpson and Wright is a good wr corp and should be able to pull a lot of the eight man fronts off a.p.

Hard to gauge from the outside, but I think the Packers ceiling for Jennng is about 10 million a year. Very seldom do I rationalize like this, but I think this circumstance warrents maybe 12 mill a year.

Jared Allen wooed him over dinner? Deal is as good as done.

It´s probably just an instance where they call up any vet that happens to be in the Twin Cities in March and invites them along.VikingPaul73 wrote: That paragraph was hysterical.......and he went to dinner with the GM (makes sense), the HC (makes sense), the OC (makes sense)...........and......the DE?
