I agree I'd take Wirf any day of the week over those guys.Husker Vike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:53 pm I believe Mekhi Becton is the prototypical left tackle and will not get out of the top 10. Andrew Thomas played left tackle in college , but may be better suited for the right side, also top 10. Jedrick Wills is a versatile player who will be plug and play on either side, but I like Tristan Wirfs the best of all because I believe he could not only play either tackle position , but could also have a pro bowl career as a guard. Bottom line is none of these guys will make it to us in round 1, if we want one of these players we will have to move up.
I’d be happy if they target one in the 4th or 5th. 4th I think is a nice value spot and the Vikings have 5 picks before the 4th to address the bigger holes.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:42 pmDon't worry about it. If you really think we should draft a QB it's just as likely whether we did or did not have visits.
I really love the idea of Wirfs playing guard. Randall McDaniel 2.0.Husker Vike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:53 pm I believe Mekhi Becton is the prototypical left tackle and will not get out of the top 10. Fromm or Hurts in the 4th or Morgan in the 5th. Don't want any QB rated lower.S197 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 3:22 amI’d be happy if they target one in the 4th or 5th. 4th I think is a nice value spot and the Vikings have 5 picks before the 4th to address the bigger holes.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:42 pm

Is it going on right now? I can't find it? I watched one 6 days ago.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 12:25 pm Man I'm watching the live mock draft right now on CBS sports. They are now on pick 15 and Wirfs is still on the board. I'd be all over the phone trying to trade up right now.
oof.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:17 pm Then we traded #25 for Patrick Peterson and cut Reiff to afford him. I presume we cut Harris to afford OBJ. Because of the cost factor I would be against both of these moves.
Agreed however I think we can still pull off both the trade up and trade down. This is what I would really like them to do.VikingPaul73 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 9:48 am In principle, I'm not opposed to trading up to get the guy they are really targeting, and yes they have the picks to do it this year.
However, they just have SOOOO many holes to fill this year that I hope they keep all 5 for their picks in rounds 1-3. If the right deal is offered I'd rather trade back in the 1st and maybe pick up another 3rd than give up a lot to move up.
think of all of their needs:
OG (maybe 2)
CB (maybe 2)
DE
WR (maybe 2)
DL
OT
S depth
They have so many holes to fill so giving up several picks to fill one need makes me a little nervous.
Agreed, Fromm/Morgan are worth rolling the dice in those respective rounds. Hurts as well although I have a suspicion he’ll go higher than projected.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 9:16 amFromm or Hurts in the 4th or Morgan in the 5th. Don't want any QB rated lower.
