Otherwise, you probably need to find or create a texture that you can subtly apply over the cards on a layer to age them a bit.

I've been thinking about when I'll end this. I really don't have an interest in going all the way to 2011 cards. What would be special about that? After I hit most of the starters and a few back ups I should be into the 90's (1961 + 22(starters) = 1983. Add in a few backups (and kickers) and I should run out of guys to do in the late 80's / early 90's)

Edit: I wanted to change a couple of things with Winfield's card. One, to move the lines a bit and to use a photo I liked better.

The photo of Carlson in a t-shirt and ball cap is appropriate.

Bumping this for something new. I love the big horn Vikings helmet and this is combining that with the modern "Revolution" Helmet.

Great Stuff! I have all of my old viking cards stored away. Seeing the back of those cards took me back to my childhood. Thanks for that memory.

You're welcome. I probably have a lot of those cards too. Back when I was a kid we collected (and destroyed) a number of cards. Always hated getting an offensive lineman's card. When the boom came in 89 -91 I avoided the "hot" high dollar cards and picked up a bunch from the 70's. The players meant more to me. I liked the look of the Pro Set and Upper Deck cards but getting a Alan Page, Jim Otto or Gale Sayers was magical.

These are the best of the old school cards but I've got a fair sampling of 70's Steelers, Cowboys, Dolphins and Raiders and a good collection of Vikings from 1961 on.
