Okay, still not too bad. Will help will the 57 draft picks we have to sign.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 7:29 pmThat was the early report. Turned out to be only 6 Million.
It makes a hell of a lot more sense now. Still doesn't sound right, but at least it's excusable.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 7:28 pm Turns out that cutting Kline is actually saving 3.369 million. Had to be done before 1.8 million was guaranteed for this year and Vikings beat that clock.
more clarity on kline....

I stand corrected on this. #Vikings cut Josh Kline before the third day of new league year, when his $1.8 million was to be guaranteed for this season. So they carved out $3.369 million of cap room by releasing Kline.
Chris Tomasson@christomasson
Site OvertheCap has adjusted #Vikings salary cap page with clarification Josh Kline didn't get his $1.8 million guarantee for 2020 It lists Vikings as having $13.956 million of cap room with $2.666 million dead money on Kline That's before Rashod Hill deal
When it was just 1.8 million, it did not make sense why they wouldn't just let him compete for a starting spot in camp. That extra 1.5 million if they cut him now makes things kind of fall into place.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:13 pmIt makes a hell of a lot more sense now. The things IMO that were baffling were cutting Kline to save $1.5 Million. That turned out to be bogus. Letting Mac go for 4 million was baffling. Turns out Mac was very disgruntled and we probably couldn't do anything to stop him. Similarly with Kearse.4mnvikings82 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:41 pm This is the first time in a long time I have no idea what the hell the Vikings are doing. A lot of their deals are baffling
I’m pretty happy with it too. I love the Pierce signing. He’s arguably the best two down nose tackle in the nfl right now and the deal we got him on is pretty fair if you ask me.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 12:00 am I'm actually pretty happy with the off-season so far. Only thing I don't understand is Kline. I guess they wanted to save money next year? Also maybe they're high on Samia?

Given the diggs trade, I’m foaming at the mouth waiting for this draft to get here. I’m going to hopefully be doing a new mock soon. I’m a teacher and business owner so I currently have 5 weeks off from school, possibly more by the sounds of it. I’m still running my business but I have a lot of free time currently. Only downfall is my wife is a teacher as well so she’s home too.....and up my as#![]()
I'll take option 1 for 500, Alex.VikingPaul73 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 10:49 am Is anyone else a bit concerned with the number of reportedly "disgruntled" players -Diggs, Mac, Kearse just a few that come to mind. Is this:
1. Just typical of NFL rosters; Vikings have no more or less disgruntled players than the average NFL roster and at least the Vikes letting them walk
2. Indicative of a flaw in screening / analysis of personalities as part of Draft/FA process
3. Indicative of a bigger cultural issue within the organization...a lack of faith in Zimmer or the general direction of the franchise
Thoughts??

hahaha yup same here. I have a woodworking business and my entire two stall garage is my shop. I usually have time out there after work normally and planned on getting a lot done while I'm off because I'm getting pretty backed up but I swear if she has me doing one thing, she has me to 1,000 things lol. But as long as my family and friends are safe, that's all I care about.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 12:47 pmPondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:56 am

I can kinda identify. My wife works at the world headquarters of her company that is considered one if the essential need corporations, but their CEO has started using employees in key positions to work remote from home. So she has been working from her home office. I usually have a good 2 1/2 to 3 hrs to myself when I get home before she gets home. Holy crap, when she is done she is stir crazy and missing her interaction with her friends at work , so she has a million things she wants to do and talks and talks and talks lol. Wow what an adjustment.
But she is home safe and healthy and still able to work, so I can deal with it.
