Re: Draft Day Discussion
I think a fourth and fifth. Not that bad. They still keep the 23rd pick, so good going, getting what they want without paying a steep price. Also I think good that they can let McCarthy sit for a while behind Darnold.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:19 pm What did the Vikings give up?
It was smart to make sure the Broncos didn't jump ahead of them. But I sure hope it wasn't a mini bidding war.

@AdamSchefter
Trade terms: Vikings traded No. 11 overall, a 4th-round pick and a 5th-round pick to the Jets in exchange for No. 10 and pick No. 203.

Re: Draft Day Discussion
People ragging on Kwesi for this need to just stop. There was a ton of speculation that the Vikings would trade away 11, 23 and a first next year to take McCarthy at either 4 or 5. To get him at 10 and keep 23? That's good work.cogitator wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:22 pmI think a fourth and fifth. Not that bad. Re: Draft Day Discussion
So, who do the Vikings take at 23? CB, OL, Edge?

Yeah, anybody thinking they'd give up 3 1sts to get this guy has to be thrilled.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:26 pmPeople ragging on Kwesi for this need to just stop. Re: Draft Day Discussion
I’M crushed the Vikings got Mccarthy. I’ll be mad for a week, then start watching the highlight reels of him throwing 3 passes a game at Michigan when the opposing defense was keying on the dominant run game, then I’ll get mad again. And then maybe a month from now I’ll start drinking the Kool Aid. I’m a glass half full guy at heart, I just need some time. Like it or not, he’s our guy now… so I’m rooting for him! All he does is win, right? ….. right?!cogitator wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:19 pmSee above. I'm listening to radio in Denver, they are crushed that Vikings got McCarthy.BeforeIDie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:17 pm Why trade back 1 pick with a team you knew wouldn’t draft QB. We traded our 4th and 5th to get a 6th. Kwesi sucks man.

Yes, me too. We honestly didn't give up too much to move up and guarantee Denver didn't get himmakila wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:27 pmAgreed, I like it.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:26 pm

They would have traded with Denver if we didn't give them something.BeforeIDie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:17 pm Why trade back 1 pick with a team you knew wouldn’t draft QB. We traded our 4th and 5th to get a 6th. Kwesi sucks man.

Hoping for DeJean or Murphy at 23. I don’t think Murph will make it
