Re: Around the League
Kevin Dotson G traded to Rams for basically nothing. Kewsi asleep at the wheel. You won't push him into the backfield.
His 77.6 pass blocking grade by Pro Football Focus last season was 17th-highest among all guards, according to the scouting service. Additionally, among guards with at least 1,000 blocking snaps, he tied with the Cowboys' Zack Martin for fourth-fewest pressures allowed with 16 total, per PFF.

Good Catch. Seems a shame that it wasn't to us.CharVike wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 12:05 pm Kevin Dotson G traded to Rams for basically nothing. Kewsi asleep at the wheel. You won't push him into the backfield.

Re: Around the League
Pittsburgh drafted Dotson in the 4th round in 2020. Terms of the deal are the Steelers receive the Rams' 2024 fourth-round pick and their 2025 fifth-round pick, while sending LA their 2024 fifth-round and 2025 sixth-round picks, along with Dotson. So the Steelers effectively give up Dotson to get a 4th back plus a 5th for a 5th and a 6th.CharVike wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 12:05 pm Kevin Dotson G traded to Rams for basically nothing. It's pretty close the same the Vikings got for Lowe to the Patriots, except in that case Lowe was a 2022 6th round pick. So basically, trade the player for a pick in the same round. Lowe is a little younger and a little less experienced.
Hard to say KAM is asleep at the wheel though on this one, but YMMV.
The Vikings starting OL is likely to be considerably better than what we saw from the backups in the preseason, and while depth is always a concern, I think the starting offense will be fine this season even if the OL is still a relative weak spot.
