Week 3: Lions @ Vikings predictions

Typical Vikings game. Tried to give it away but rallied at the end to pull off a win.

I’m still waiting for them to gel on both sides of the ball. Not overly impressed so far with our highly touted pass rushing duo. Cook hurt, Cousins doing Cousins things. Seems like the Eagles found a way to neutralize JJ and every opponent is going to employ that strategy if they have the personnel to make it work.

They did mange to tighten up on defense and come from behind twice to reach 2-1. I don’t look at the Lions as a road block to a division title quite yet. They’re more of a nuisance that can derail our season if we’re not careful. Miami and Buffalo are going to be tough games if we don’t tighten things up.

At the start of every season I go week by week after watching them since 1961. As long as they keep on entertaining me I stick with them.

Now we will see how the Rodgers/Brady game goes. GB could easily end up 1-2 after today.

As far as the Vikes go it’s tough winning an NFC title without home field advantage in the playoffs. At this point I don’t see us doing that but it’s early. I will take an ugly 2-1 record any day this early in the year. There are a lot of things they need to work on this week.

Miami and Buffalo are going to be tough games if we don’t tighten things up.

I think Buffalo and Miami will be tough games regardless. The way we look right now, we're likely to get spanked by both teams, especially because both games are on the road. I like how the next couple of weeks look though, as long as we can tolerate the oddity of playing in London's time zone and then the return. The Saints and Bears should be beatable.

I feel like they players aren’t entirely comfortable with the new systems. I’m sure they will gel more as a team as the season progresses. The thing is if they have Super Bowl aspirations home field advantage throughout the playoffs is huge. Last week’s loss in Philly underscores that point.

I’m an original 1961 fan so I have developed a thick skin and can handle every frustration that comes my way. I will admit shouting “wtf is wrong with you” at Cousins doing Cousins things. GB is moving the ball in the late game so it’s a good thing the Vikes found a way to sqeek by Detroit.

I am not really expecting a win against Bills and Dolphins on the road since Vikings have alot of work to do

One thing I will say, I don’t think Donatell does a very good job creating ways to generate pressure. I feel like we just constantly rush four and our pressure just isn’t there. Especially since we have zero pass rushers on the interior.

I mean I think that’s a little premature but hasn’t looked good so far. However his 2nd half defenses this year have been solid. But first half has been brutal
