Post by VikingsVictorious »

We finally know when the march to glory for the 2022 Minnesota Vikings will officially get underway, as the league has announced the Training Camp start dates for all of its teams. Rookies will report to the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan on 24 July.

New oline coach seems likeable.

The Vikings still haven't signed Booth or Ingram. 2nd round picks seem to be the last to sign as 100% of the first round have signed, but 12 players from the second rounds still haven't.

Should be an interesting camp. At least we will have some current football related things to talk about.

Nat Stanley has been waived. I guess somebody will be signed. Maybe a guy from that summer league.

8 2nd round picks remain unsigned. 2 of those being Vikings draftees Booth and Ingram.

2022 training camp has opened and no contract for Booth or Ingram. In the entire NFL there are only 12 draft picks that remain unsigned and 2 of those 12 are the Vikings 2nd and 3rd picks. We most likely get them signed eventually, but there is something very wrong with this.

12 unsigned players divided by 32 teams in the NFL = 0.375 unsigned picks per team yet the Vikings have 2. 8 unsigned 2nd round picks divided by 32=0.25 yet the Vikings have 2.

To me this does not speak well of Kwesi. I know it takes two to tango blah, blah, blah, but Kwesi needs to figure out how to get it done. Don't wait until training camp.

Not signing Ingram might be the smartest thing he has done as a GM to date.

We got it done. Finally. However, Ingram's deal isn't showing up on Spotrac.

The Minnesota Vikings signed rookies Andrew Booth Jr. and Ed Ingram to complete their draft-class contracts Sunday as players began to report to training camp. Booth, a cornerback, was a second-round pick out of Clemson, 42nd overall. Ingram, a guard, was a second-round selection out of LSU, 59th overall.

I want to know if Booth is actually participating in physical activity. It has been claimed all along that he would be ready for Camp.

Booth and Ingram were among 31 players who reported to the Vikings' TCO Performance Center facility in Eagan on Sunday, marking the start of training camp. In addition to the 10 draft picks and nine undrafted rookies, 12 veterans also reported. That list includes quarterbacks Kirk Cousins, Sean Mannion, and Kellen Mond, tight ends Irv Smith Jr. and Johnny Mundt, and second-year players Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Jaylen Twyman.

Kudos to the vets that showed up.
