This is the difference between teams who are under the cap and those who aren’t.

While the Vikings are scrambling to get cap compliant by Wednesday, teams with cap space are using the legal tampering period to sign important players. By the time the Vikings have enough cap space to do anything, the best free agents will be gone.

KAM needs to change this “run up the credit card” part of the Vikings’ former culture.
Ehh I dont think that's going on. They are more than free to sign guys right now and worry about the cap after. They already did with Phillips. I guarantee they already have things in place that they are going to do like restructuring and such that just havent been announced yet.
Sorry, but that’s not true.

Every team has to be cap compliant by 4 pm tomorrow. Even with the Cousins extension, the Vikings were still over the cap. They have to get their house in order.

So yes, they could sign Phillips, who essentially offsets the release of Michael Pierce and saves a little cap because he isn’t expensive. But they certainly couldn’t sign Brandon Scherff at $17 million AAV, even though our need for an all-pro guard is much greater than the need for a rotational DT. I know Scherff’s injury history made him a less-than-ideal signing, but it doesn’t remove our need for interior linemen. Laken Tomlinson and Alex Cappa are also off the board, as is Austin Corbett, whom you had coming to the Vikings in your offseason mock. With the extension of Cousins, it only makes sense to improve the interior of our O-line, but it doesn’t appear that free agency is going to be the route. I’m sure KAM has a plan. Well, I hope he does.

Look, I know you liked Rick Spielman. There’s no doubt he sort of got the shaft because of his connection to Zimmer. But he’s gone now. And one of his faults, in my opinion, was constantly operating up against the cap. I only hope KAM operates with a little more cap flexibility on a regular basis.

Cliff I agree with you on Teddy. Not as polished as Cousins, but a much better valve for the team.
His teammates respected and played hard for him.
Just curious, are you under the impression our guys don't respect Kirk or play hard for him? I'm not saying that's what you're saying; I've just never gotten that impression.
Dalvin Cook respects the hell out of him. I think all the WRs appreciate the excellent passes he makes to them leading to glory for themselves. A couple arguments doesn't change that.

I agree. I have never heard the slightest suggestion otherwise. People can say what they want about the guy, but I don't think he lacks respect in the locker room. Obviously there is much none of us will ever know about the dynamic when the doors are shut, but for as long as he's been in the league I think you'd hear mumblings if this was the case.

Kirk Cousins is a phony. Nobody knows him, so nobody likes him. He's Robotronic and has no personality at all.

Yea, Snyder just can’t get out of his own way.
I think the name change and the ugly uniforms are the least of his problems now.

Just stop before you lose the little thread of credibility you have left. You have no idea of what you are talking about to make an absurd comment like that. You couldn’t be further from the truth

My mistake.

Kirk Cousins is a fountain of charisma. He has a magnetism that just draws people in. When people think of toughness, courage, moxie, it is the face of Kirk Cousins that leaps to the mind's eye. You can tell in the way he interacts with the media that he is loose, natural comfortable in his own skin. He's got the kind of people skills that just scream 'natural born leader'.

On the field, his composure under pressure is inspiring. Whether spiking it or downing it, sliding short of the sticks or past them, facing pressure up the middle and throwing the ball forward or backward, he is always cool as a cucumber.

You forgot to mention lining up under the guard to take the snap. The running back was probably thinking WTH

He's simply trolling at this point. Constant sarcasm and just trying to get a rise out of people. You're right, the credibility is long gone by this point.

Cant he write what he wants? I think he is dead on, just like I think the Cousins people are dead wrong. We have had a lot of time to see kirk, to see if he can flourish in the face of adversity, help win the close games enough so we can at least go to the playoffs, to be a leader, to rally the troops, etc. I havent seen that. I think I remember some posts later last season you wearnt real excited with kirk either. A lot of people wearnt. And check into just how team friendly his last contract really is. :govikes:
