The question for the Bears is, is Dalton going to improve the play at the QB position? Because if he is, and they get that improvement for the modest cap hit of $10 million dollars, they got a good deal.
Also, don't discount Dalton. He might not be flashy, but if the team around him is good enough, they can win with him.
The current QB carousel there is Dalton and Foles.
Sure, Foles is a serviceable game manager, but the offense for Chicago is uh... not good?
Yeah, they've got problems well beyond their starting QB. I think that offense would struggle next year even if they had gotten Wilson or Watson.
Maybe the Dalton signing recognizes that fact. He can serve in a bridge roll while they address the many other areas they need to address.
This looks like a Wilson and Watson thread so..... It looks like Watson is headed for some bad publicity and just a pain in the back. If anything is true could be much worse. Oh well.
Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee said during a news conference Friday that he will be filing an additional five lawsuits against Deshaun Watson "in due course" -- bringing the number of total cases to 12 alleging inappropriate conduct and sexual assault by the Texans' quarterback.
Buzbee also said he has spoken to "more than 10 additional women" who have come forward with reports about similar conduct from Watson after encounters.
