Merry Christmas to all the Viking lovers here. It's sure a strange Christmas, at least with my family it is this year. I hope for all of you and your families to have a great day and stay healthy.

What an awesome Christmas gift it would be for all of us and the whole team, if we could go into New Orleans and ruin the Saints day. I am not real optimistic but also know anything can happen.

The Grinch in me would absolutely LOVE to make it a real crappy night for Crybaby Sean Peyton tonight. It's Christmas so I won't go off on a Sean Peyton name calling tirade like I would like.. but I just really do not like him or the Saints at all

Merry Christmas everyone!

Look at it this way, if we win, we screw the Saints. If we lose, we screw the Packers.

Well if it were possible for us to screw the Seachickens and Cowgirls in addition to the Aints and the Pukers.. well that would be a Christmas Gift from Valhalla

How would Vikings screw the Packers?
They’re both fighting for the #1 seed so if we lose to NO, the Packers have a lower chance of getting it.

Eh, Packers will lose in the playoffs with the #1 or not

Merry Christmas guys!!This defense has serious problems. Some of it will be fixed with returning player next year. Tackling is atrocious obviously. I hope they draft Patrick Surtain Jr.

Literally the worst defensive performance I have ever seen from the Vikings. Guess we can throw out the "do you remember how bad our defense was with Frazier" defense of Zimmer.

The offense scored 5 TDs.
We won the turnover battle by 2.
We lost the game by 19.

I can understand the lack of talent with so many regulars that were out for part or all of the season, but to have a defense that laid down and quit was inexcusable. I’ve never seen such a lackluster effort from any team in all my years of watching football. This wasn’t any old game, this was bright lights, nationally televised Christmas Day game. You had every sports fan in America watching you play and you decided you didn’t want to tackle anyone, cover someone and you don’t care what we think. You don’t have the resolve to put up a fight. If you wouldn’t put up a fight on this day, it’s hard to root for you. We can’t even defend you, because we don’t want to.

I want to give this some credence, but Belichick is/was getting away with it in NE to some degree (maybe not anymore). Maybe you can be caustic and hire your son when you have Tom Brady at the helm, I don’t know. I do think Belichick’s personality is a lot friendlier than Zim’s with the team (based on what I’ve heard). But if players think the three sons on our coaching staff shouldn’t be there and Zim’s a tool, that’s a problem.
I realize it is bad form to quote yourself AND grab it out of context from another thread (didn't want to hijack that one), but ...

After listening to Zim's post-Saints-game comments, imma go ahead and give the above more credence than before.

Who on defense yesterday would want to play for this guy in the future after NONE of his comments included "it starts with the coaches - I did not do a good enough job coaching"? Yeah Zim, you have a bunch of guys short on experience and talent in there yesterday, but goodness you are going to rely on what, between 3 and 5 of them to start in the future?

Seems like player failures are NEVER Zim's fault. And the world would come crashing down if he called out his coaching staff. "This is my first bad defense, ever". Really dude? You and your staff had ZERO defensive backups ready to play yesterday. And the vets seemed to say screw this.

I am liking Zim less and less every year. He's down to a non-negotiable show-him-the-door in my book.

This was a payback run up game. Saint HC was pissed because Zimmer took a road dog into his house and out coach his lame arse in a playoff game last year. The Saints needed to win the week before this game and couldn't even put up a fight because they played a good team. That was also at home. I've seen worst embarrassments in my 50 years following. Nothing will ever come close to the 41-0 beat down at Giants stadium in the Championship game. And the Giants took the foot off the gas at halftime when it was 34-0. They could have scored 70 but didn't. The Saints will get beat in the playoffs when they play a good team. That's been the common theme for the last x number of years. The Bears knock the fight out of our D. Short week hitting the road didn't help either. This game had zero impact on anything. If it did then the board will be wiped clean. But I don't see that happening at this point in time. No fans at the home games impacted the Wilfs more than this game. But Zimmer did look a little confused in his press conference. I don't blame him for that. He's a pro and his D didn't show up at all.
