You can't tell me this guy wouldn't be better behind our Oline than the guy we have now. He has all the tools. Throws on the run... throws under pressure.... most importantly.. he moves in the pocket. Give up what ever it takes. He will take this team to the next level.

He probably will be pick 1 so I highly doubt we can get that pick no matter what is offered. I also don't see our coaches playing for pick 1. This current team is better than that. Not a SB contender or even a division contender unless Rodgers goes down. But you can't be a pro and tank it. You won't be around very long doing that.

Miami and the Bengals would pass on him if they get the #1 pick, assuming Tua is not Rosen bad.

Pretty much any other team would probably move on from their current QB if they end up with the #1 pick though.

The Vikings have to hope the really bad teams play each other and give each other wins and then they have a shot. They could also hope that Miami or Cinci get that first pick and are willing to trade it away.

If the three picks are projected in the mid 20s or later they will tell you no fing way. The bottom line is if this guy rates like a Luck did then they will ask for much more than 3 1st. Plus the 1st pick will need to be top 5. Imagine 3 NE 1st rounders. Beyond that if a team is picking number 1 they need a QB more than likely. There not easy to find.

We're supposed to be a "possession" team. Thus far, TOP is averaging about 40 to 20 per game against us. We had a pathetic 21+ minutes TOP against the Colts ... and that represented a 17% improvement over the Green Bay game.

Our defense, led by Mike "The Guru" Zimmer, has given 438 yards and 35.5 points per game.

Turnover margin is 4:1 against.

We have the lowest rated quarterback in the league at 61.9.

We're last in our own division in rushing offense ... even Detroit is ahead of us.

Hate to break it to y'all, but the record says the Minnesota Vikings are the worst team in the league, and it's not particularly close. If we don't start playing better -- please, I beg you, somebody give me hope that we will -- then we won't have to trade up for Trevor Lawrence.

That was a bad post on my part. As was pointed out it was the kids first start. Hopefully he'll develop and that will solve a problem for us. It looks like this season will be rebuild. Same with our two young CBs they are first year starters and our current DL provide zero help. That's mainly injury problems. The only positive is watching the young guys. Jefferson has shown a nice burst but he's a rookie and has a long way to go. I would like to see I Smith do something and play more. He's our future. Perhaps he will later on.

No worries, man. With the way the Vikings are playing, I'm just trying to keep things light. Almost none of my posts this week have been serious.

I like that Samia is getting a chance. It's one thing to work on technique in practice and training camp, where there really are no consequences. It's another to be in the line of fire during a game. That's where Samia is going to learn the most. I think all these young guys need as much playing time as they can get, especially given the cancellation of live OTAs and no preseason.

Unfortunately giving young players a chance isn't Zimmer's M.O. It's also not in Cousins' DNA. All I hear about is how Kirk prefers to throw to guys he trusts. News flash, Kirk ... teams are figuring that out. They're gonna double Thielen and put their best cover safety on Rudolph. You're gonna have to throw to someone else once in awhile.
