Re: Draft thread
If Jacob Eason gets selected by another team, don’t even bother drafting a QB this year.
Happy birthday Mannion.

Re: Draft thread
I hope Vikings will get defensive tackle next
Re: Draft thread
I was referring to OTHER picks ahead of us being traded. Rick stated the collecting of draft picks was partly in order to move up today. Seems to me we had enough ammo to move up in this round. We didn't and got wonnumed.

Re: Draft thread
Zeirlein has him listed as best fit, 3-4 outside LB

Re: Draft thread
We get sniped on all the guards and then pass on Clevelands Teammate Weaver.

Re: Draft thread
Overview
Wonnum has experience playing standing or with a hand down but is best suited as a rush linebacker in a 3-4. He's not a premium pass rusher but possesses desirable length and slippery body turn to create pressure with secondary rush effort or when activated in a twisting front. He carries decent core strength but might always struggle as a run defender due to below-average bend. His lack of speed and suddenness could work against him and his ceiling might be as a good backup with rotational potential off the edge.

Re: Draft thread
He definitely has the size to work with. Hopefully he can develop into a good rotational player at least.

Re: Draft thread
Disgusting, well, an upgrade over Mannion anyways lol. He could be a serviceable backup.
Crazy that Fromm was considered a first round prospect a year ago. Sure can’t fix inaccuracy.

Re: Draft thread
DEFENSE: D.J. WONNUM, EDGE, SOUTH CAROLINA
The Will Muschamp defense has shown up in flashes for the Gamecocks in the past couple seasons, but it was never brighter than in a night game against the favored Kentucky Wildcats, at home at Williams-Brice Stadium. In what was essentially a shutout effort -- Kentucky scored with less than 3 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter -- D.J. Wonnum had the star effort, with three sacks against Kentucky QB Sawyer Smith, one of which turned into a one-play touchdown drive for the offense after Wonnum forced the fumble.
Wonnum's projection as a 3-4 stand-up rusher make sense given his frame (6-foot-4, 255 pounds) and his explosiveness off the line from a two-point stance. After his junior season was disappointingly lost to injury, Wonnum is already halfway to his career mark of 6 season sacks, which he put up in 2017. Given the other talented seniors on the 'Cocks defense -- Javon Kinlaw and T.J. Brunson -- expect more low-scoring slugfests as South Carolina takes on its SEC schedule.

Re: Draft thread
I don't think that was ever serious. He's never had the arm strength of a round 1 QB.
