Vikings need a 3rd linebacker to back up Wilson so any preferences?

Re: Linebackers in draft
Does anyone know anything about the LB from Nebraska? I've drafted him a few times in mocks around round 4 or 5. He looks intriguing, but know very little.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Murray will be great if he can stay healthy. I highly doubt they draft a linebacker in the first 4 rounds though.

You mean the Sooners linebacker? I saw a mock draft that Vikings drafted Murray at #22, linebacker is not a big need but I would love to have him, Boomer Sooner!Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:03 am Murray will be great if he can stay healthy. Yeah he is rangy and a tackling machine. I don't know much about Queen from LSU but he's also supposed to be great. I just can't see them drafting either because Barr and Kendricks would be on the field over them in Nickel most likely. Unless they use Barr as DE and move Hunter inside in certain packages.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:15 amYou mean the Sooners linebacker? Re: Linebackers in draft
I think Murray would be a great draft pick...out him on the inside and Kendricks on the outside and that would instantly upgrade our defense....Murray is always around the ball and he can rush the qb....if he is there let’s get him.

Re: Linebackers in draft
We need a 3rd guy behind Wilson and Gedeon? Why do we need so much depth at a position that gets 20 snaps a game max?RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 2:41 pm Vikings need a 3rd linebacker to back up Wilson so any preferences?

Yeah since Wilson and Gedeon could get injuried so Vikings need a 3rd guy at weak side and strong sidePondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:09 pmWe need a 3rd guy behind Wilson and Gedeon? Re: Linebackers in draft
Yeah I mean we have Cam smith and just signed gates. At the most id spend like a 6th-7th round pick on a linebacker. No sense in wasting anything earlier than that on a linebackerRandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:16 pmYeah since Wilson and Gedeon could get injuried so Vikings need a 3rd guy at weak side and strong sidePondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:09 pm

Re: Linebackers in draft
I would not mind getting a 2 down thumper to play the middle when we are in base defense.

Re: Linebackers in draft
I think with our 22 pick we should draft LB Murray and that would improve our D Bigtime...he has a nose for the ball and can rush the qb

Re: Linebackers in draft
I don’t see him having a place on defense. We’re primarily in 2 LB sets. Unless he’s a hand in the dirt DE, there is really no fit. And taking one in the first round, there is just no way
