Here come the moves!!! Rhodes I'm fine with. Bums me out about Linval. I really liked him but it was also expected.

Wouldn't rule out bringing either back. We definitely have an interesting week coming up.

It's all about the savings. I hope both guys come back for a smaller deal.

Guess I can now buy me a Joseph jersey without worrying about my jinx.
(I buy a jersey and that player gets hurt or booted, or plays terrible).
My grandma bought me dozens of Carter jerseys. I bought one and he ends up playing in Miami. Bought a Culpepper jersey and he blows out his knee. Bought an Allen jersey and he had a terrible year. Bought a Barr jersey and you know what happened there.

That's why I quit buying jerseys and now stick with different shirts. I have whole rack of jerseys, some of them both home and away jerseys for players.Svt40 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 2:54 pm Guess I can now buy me a Joseph jersey without worrying about my jinx.

I finally decided enough and just stick with Vikings stuff that I know I will always be able to wear.
Not bummed about Rhodes really, but am bummed about Linvel.
I would like to see him come back cheaper, but not having Rhodes is really ok to me.

We also cut David Morgan today.
Hear the Eagles could be interested in Joseph.

Really sad to see we cut Morgan. I was hoping he might bounce back from injury this year.
Joseph and Rhodes both had down years last year. I could see Rhodes bouncing back in a system that allows a little more freedom if he can regain some confidence. Be curious to see if Joseph's down year was more age or injury related, and if he can stay healthy going forward.
"You like that!"

I agree about Morgan. Really liked the guy. Excellent blocking TE and though he wasn't targeted alot, he had a knack for coming up with a big catch when needed.fiestavike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 4:57 amReally sad to see we cut Morgan. I was hoping he might bounce back from injury this year.

I also think injuries played a part on Linvel's drop off. If he would be healthy and regain his play I would love to see him come back with a lower salary.
A few years ago I thought Rhodes would be a great player for a long time. Man, what a epic drop off. Too many costly penalties and gets burned alot.
Actually he would be a great addition to the Pukers or the Saints. His crybaby hissy fit antics would allow him to fit right in right away. He could be the D crybaby captain and Erin continue as the O main whiner.

It's all about the guys not performing to their CAP hit. If they were still top players they would still be here. They provide nothing at this point in time. Plus they are old players. You hit 30 in the NFL and it's over. Of course there are exception like Blanda playing until whatever but most are long gone before 30 years of age. They both had great careers and made the most out of it. And no they shouldn't come back. We need to improve not stay the same or get worse.

I still buy 1-2 a year. I get them off that Korean site for $25 and they are always legit, stitched numbers and letters, etc. Cant beat it. I don’t have the curse problem but I’m very superstitious on which one I wear and when. I refuse to wears jerseys of guys that are not currently on the roster. The second they aren’t on the team anymore, I put them in the spare room closet. Looking to frame all of the ones I don’t wear anymore and hang them in my Viking cave. Active guys now I have Diggs, thielen, cousins, Harry and Barr. Gonna order a cook one soonBowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 3:57 pmThat's why I quit buying jerseys and now stick with different shirts. As for Joseph and Rhodes, yeah I could care less about getting Rhodes back. I would love linval back at a cheaper price. Joseph is a great leader, a captain, all about the team and very humble. Rhodes is nothing but an excuse maker at this point. Anytime he’s burnt he either fakes an injury or throws a tantrum. I’m glad I no longer have to watch that on a weekly basis

Morgan was whatever to me. Rudy and Smith are locked in as TE1 A and B. And I like what Conklin showed last year. Morgan could block but if we really want a decent blocking TE, it wouldn’t cost much to get onefiestavike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 4:57 amReally sad to see we cut Morgan. Hitting 30 and being done is not true. There are plenty of good players over 30. You usually see a drop off yeah but it’s not entirely true. Look at guys like Griffen and Harrison smith on this team for example. They are both very effective stillCharVike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 10:44 amIt's all about the guys not performing to their CAP hit. If they were still top players they would still be here. Losing it seems to happen fast when it does happen, at least to cornerbacks. Champ Bailey went from great to so so to not able to play in the league in about 2 years. Once they lose a step or two they are always going to be struggling to stay with a receiver, and experience can only overcome so much. It is almost a pure speed position.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 12:44 pm

Allowing 80% of your targets will get you cut.

Go ahead. I dare you.

And constantly coming up " hurt" and then being miraculously healed a min later 78% of the time and pointing the finger and throwing a hissy fit the other 2% of that 80% burned rate doesnt help either
