Lol... or put Treadwell and Abdullah in the backfield and run the Wildcat all day, alternating carries.
Then again, our luck it would work and they would try to do it in the WC game.

I agree the only reason we are in the playoff is because we got lucky to play the NFC East that was four of our wins right therefiestavike wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 11:32 pm Kirk cousins and the vikings as a whole are not going to be able to match up against the best teams in the league. This is not a team worth getting invested in. They are one and done.
Why not use the opportunity to see of Mannion is the QB of the future?
That's exactly what would happen. And then it would flop.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 3:43 pmLol... or put Treadwell and Abdullah in the backfield and run the Wildcat all day, alternating carries.

My thoughts exactly Kapp. But, if I don’t go, I’ll be checking for updates on the game and be restless during the game. The only reason for me to watch is to see if any non starters stand out. Second, I’m thinking the bears defensive line is licking their chops knowing they can pad their stats based on what happened the last time we played them. Watching Green Bay-Detroit would put me in a surly mood for sure. Maybe I’ll ask the wife if she has any ideas. If I know her, she will want to go for a walk. No good options here on my end.J. The game isn't being shown in my area (Green Bay - Detroit is on Fox). Normally I have a place I like to go to watch the Vikings when they're not on TV.
However, I'm not sure I want to go spend money on food and drink to watch a meaningless game where half our starters will be on the bench against a Bears team that's about as exciting as watching grass grow. If we lose, no big deal. If we win, who cares? We're still the No. 6 seed.
Ugh. What to do?
I wouldn't. It's like the fourth game of the preseason except the Bears will be trying really hard by playing starters.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 10:43 am This is tough.

That's horrible luck. Sorry to hear it! I'd be equally bummed in your situation, especially as you're visiting from out of town.MikethePurple wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 3:21 pm I’m bummed this is going to be my first and only game to see live at the stadium (tickets are waaay too expensive). It’s been my first chance to see a game when I’m in town visiting family and it’s going to be a glorified pre-season game. Not what I was hoping for when we got tickets months agoOnly silver lining I can take away is that it won’t be an emotionally draining game as it really doesn’t matter what happens as long as no injuries occur. But it’s definitely taking the excitement out of the experience

You should get a good look at some of the younger guys and how they play against 1st teamers. Watts, Samia, Dozier, Hollins etc.MikethePurple wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 3:21 pm I’m bummed this is going to be my first and only game to see live at the stadium (tickets are waaay too expensive). Yeah I was a little worried that going to a Week 17 game there could be this chance. But with coming back at holiday time it’s really the only option.Texas Vike wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 3:29 pmThat's horrible luck. Sorry to hear it! It's probably better than having gone to last week's game, at least. Seeing the Pack beat us live at home might kill me.
Also: since you're in Portland, if SEA wins tomorrow night, you'll have a chance to drive up to the wildcard game vs. the Seahawks, which would be quite a different experience!
Yeah it was in the back of my mind when we got Week 17 tickets but it’s the only timing I can do. I’m just going to enjoy the stadium and the fact that the game at least won’t be a disappointing one because it’s a meaningless game. Ha, how sad is it to be a Vikings fan and be trained to set that bar that lowS197 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 5:18 pmYou should get a good look at some of the younger guys and how they play against 1st teamers. Unfortunately that’s the risk with a week 17 game but it should still be a nice experience. The stadium is amazing.
Well Buddy at least you can give us all a live view opinion of Mannion as he will be playing today.MikethePurple wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:41 pmYeah I was a little worried that going to a Week 17 game there could be this chance. Ha, yeah on the other hand, last week probably would’ve been worse. So there’s that.
It seems like they’ve been playing in Seattle a lot these recent years. I’ve thought about going to one of those games but they are pretty pricey too. And if I’m paying that much I also want to be around a bunch of Vikings fans! It’s pretty rare that I see that and its always nice even when I’m here and I see people with Vikings regalia and Vikings beer signs!
I went. I’m a sucker.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 1:04 pmI wouldn't. It's like the fourth game of the preseason except the Bears will be trying really hard by playing starters.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 10:43 am This is tough.
