Quick hits:

Awesome balanced offensive game plan by Stefanski today. We ran well and we looked great through the air too. Even our OL looked solid.

Defensively, we looked suspect, especially in the secondary. Trae Waynes was soft throughout the game (before that sweet INT on the last defensive play of the game for us) and Rhodes got burned over and over and pouted about it like a child. Hughes had a few decent plays, but overall we looked suspect in the secondary.

Everson Griffen: you can always count on him to get a penalty at the WORST time possible. So glad that it didn't cost us the game. I think he had two on back to back plays, one of which was a 3rd and 10.

I hope AT heals quickly. Hammies can take some time.

Good: The team rebounded from an average start to firing on all cylinders. The run game broke free and Cook willed us to so many first downs just from his ability. Loved the gutsy deep ball at the end of the game and the bravado that Kirk showed. I think this is the Kirk everyone wanted. In fact, he is playing better than we could have imagined. Oline was decent and Elfline didn't really mess up.

Bad: AT going down with a hammy. I hate hamstring injuries. They are the worst, unlike ankle and quads that can be taped up, hammie betray your trust. Just when you think everything is ok and you reach for a gear you dont have, they remind you that they are still injured. They really mess with your mental. Probably no AT at Redskins. Oline was meh in first half and fantastic in 2nd. No sacks (i think)

Ugly: The 4 TDs to Jones. All of our Cbs gave up the simplest of catches. Mac got confused on the Jet sweep, Hughes gave up inside leverage on the Jones TD and Rhodes was his usual self the last 3 weeks. Listen, he is still an above-average corner and most times than not, he shuts his man down and the QB goes elsewhere. However, when challenged, he is getting beat like a drum and I wish we would have shipped him to the Jags along with a 2nd for Ramsey. Waynes has to stop turning inside when when WR is going outside. Jesus. Matt played pitch and catch on key downs against all of our CBs. Zimmer had no business in the prevent defense. Matt is Matt. Hes the best QB in the league when against the clock. You cant give him all day to throw in crunch time. He ripped us a new one and made this game way to close.

All in all. A fantastic game by the offense who bailed out the defense (wasnt bad but wasnt good). 5-2 and on to Washington. This team can easily be 6-2 next week and then 7-2 if we take care of business against Chiefs.

Nah. He only had 2 but not back to back. False start on 3rd and 23 and then the blow to the head.

Another great game by the offense.

Defense had it's worse game by far of the season.

Must have been a bad hold on that missed kick.

This was a really important win, to go down 3 games in the division would be tough to overcome. Now they have the remainder of the NFC North games at home, which is huge. Seriously though, who schedules 3 road games in conference? C'mon NFL.

Anyway, loved the aggressiveness on offense. Everyone stepped up with AT out. Defense needs to clean up some things, especially penalties but it was nice to have the offense bail them out for once.

Props to Bisi, he looked good. Hope AT is not out for long, but nice to know we have another capable receiver out there.

Good game by the TEs too. Nice to see Rudolph get into the endzone. Irv looks like a receiver out there and he can block too!

Cousins had another great game. Confident throws In the right spot. The Diggs throw looked a bit under thrown, requiring him to adjust, but he should have had it.

I’ll be at the Red Skins game next week.

SKOL!!

Didn't get to see it but a good win on the road. I'm not surprised that Cousins played great as he probably didn't get much pressure on him and I think the Lions secondary isn't the greatest. That's a perfect combo for him and he took full advantage. I was hoping our D would play better against Stafford and the rest of that crew but it worked well enough to win. Maybe we are on a roll. Pack won also and it looks like they decided to let Rodgers loosen up a little. 400 yards and 5 TDs is very strong.

Those home games will be nice to have in December! Wish we could have gotten one of the two outside, though, while the weather was nice.

Yes, That packer win would have meant the world. I am still concerned that this Oline cannot hold up to a physically defense like the Bears. I think Seattle is the next big test. We can't out look Matt Moore either. Guy either goes for 1td or 4tds.

I thought the same thing at first look but not going to Chi and GB at the end is a good thing for us. Weather can get bad there.

Maybe our OL has improved. Maybe it was the defenses we played against. IMO the teams we have played helped them look better than they really are. We'll see when we face a tough D front. That will come at some point.

I thought excellent offensive play calling today.
Cook is a beast.

The guy gets so many penalties at the worst times. The blow to the head came on third down, after we had stopped them.

Me too. That pitch to Cook on 3rd and 1 and the play action to Diggs on the last scoring drive were great calls!
