Thank you Eagles

Thank you Philly for a great game and a great win against Erin and the Packers... at Lambeue no less.
.it was gratifying to see the game end on an interception in the end zone bu the mighty one. Even of it was tipped.
Ok Vikes, Philly just gave us a little help. Now go put Sunday and get it done.
Sorry, bit I'm dead tired, getting up in 3 1/2 hrs... but couldn't not stay up to see how this ended
Actually I was screwed either way. If the stupid Packers woulda came back and won I woulda been Pissed and couldn't sleep. Now I'm pumped about the losing at the end... so I might as well just get a shower, make a pot of coffee , walk the dog, kiss the wife goodbye and just go into work early and catch up on paperwork lol.
Only thing better than seeing us win is seeing Packers or Saints lose!!

Well got a few hours of sleep and had my 1st cup of Java...and still feeling REAL happy about the Packers loss. I know it's not a divisional game, but in all the pre game show content I watched I think the Packers were a bit overconfident. I hope this knocks them down a few notches.
AND.... I cant wait to start hearing all the Packers fans whining about the no call P.I. I hope when all the NFL media shows start showing that play , that they also replay the call on the stupid home field gift they received on the bogus Cook P.I. in our loss to them. Nice to see them take one on the Sacred Lambeau. Lol. And as I said, it was gratifying as a Vikes fan to see them lose on a final drive red zone INT by the Almighty Erin.
I am feeling pretty good this morning about it all.

The Engels did a heck of a job. It's tough to hit the road and playing off schedule added another obstacle. The Pack defense also is showing some cracks and don't appear to do very well against the run game. But the Engels have a very good team. They have a young QB who has tremendous skill and I think they are coached very well also. As some have stated it takes until about the half way point before things shack out. But I did grit my teeth when they punched it into the end zone with the ground game before half time. That's exactly what we should have done. To late for that at this point. Again as I feel the TOs are key. They always are.

The Packers' so-called "great defense" (one guy on NFL Network radio yesterday actually called it the best in the NFL) got gashed yesterday, especially on the ground. We exposed that vulnerability in Week 2, and Philly took clear advantage of it. That set Carson Wentz up for some nice play-action.

The other thing notable was Green Bay's inability to run the football. They may have a new coach, but they're still inept on the ground. First and goal at the 1, and they pass four times? Laughable. Also, look for more LaFleur vs. Rodgers fireworks in the future. After the game, when asked why he called four straight pass plays, LaFleur said they called an RPO, but Rodgers chose to pass it. Sounds like a coach deflecting blame to his quarterback, which is not going to sit well with Rodgers. Never mind that Philly's linebackers had absolutely no reason to respect the run. I can guarantee you, we would have run the ball there. So would Philly ... they would have run a QB sneak, which is almost impossible to stop in a 1-yard situation. But apparently Erin didn't want to break a nail.

People have been slobbering all over Green Bay, as they do at the beginning of every season. But we exposed them for who they are, and if not for our inability to get out of our own way, would have beaten them, as well. They start fast, then fizzle ... every game. And it's because they have no running game.

Couldn't have happened to a suckier group of guys. Eat it, Pukers. It was your first loss. It won't be your last.

Yea, they aren't a great defense. The two teams outside of us who they shutdown have horrible offenses (Denver and Chicago) and it took the refs taking away a TD, a missed extra point and FG and our QB trying to give the game away to keep us under 26.

I love that two plays where the PI was so much more obvious than what Cook did in GB were not overturned btw. Way to be consistent NFL.

It is clear that the NFL used the Saints outcry over the NFC Championship game to establish yet another way to rig games. They can now reverse any TD or turnover in any game they want. This was clearly not about "getting it right".

This is what I have been saying. They were crowning this defense after they shut down joke offenses. It's almost like the media WANTS the packers to have a great defense because everyone has a hard on for Rodgers.

I thought the Packers were actually very fortunate to be undefeated heading into the game against the Eagles. The Packer defense is improved over last year's defense, but much of that improvement has come via a more aggressive style, which masked some deficiencies that I think the Vikings started to expose and the Eagles confirmed, especially against the run.

Offensively, I was very surprised the Vikings gave up as much on the ground to the Packer offense as they ultimately did, but it's pretty clear that the Packers are going to struggle running the football consistently this year. When the Packers got down to the Philly 1 yard line and threw on 4 consecutive downs, well, that tells you pretty much all you need to know about the confidence they have in their ability to run. Or, as LaFluer (sp?) seemed to imply after the game, it sounds like Rodgers can determine whether he wants to try to run or pass in those situations. That is funny, because who really thinks Rodgers would ever choose to give his RB a chance if he has the option to pass? Rodgers believes in Rodgers above all else. The Packers paid for it when they turned it over on downs on that drive, and they paid again to end the game.

It's going to be a LONG year in GB this year. That early success is going to be a distant memory in another month I think. I just hope the Vikings don't end up kicking themselves later for blowing their chance to win the game in Lambeau. That is the sort of loss that can come back to haunt in December when playoff seeding is being determined.

I hate the Packers also but a team that goes on the road and can hold the division champs to 3 points are playing some good D that day. I hope Zim can do the same thing against this Bears horrible offense. Should be easy. But I don't see that happening for some reason. The Pack run game is horrible but they have a great QB but things get tight at the goal line. I would have used a shortage yardage formation and banged it. If our OC wasn't trying to give the game away against the Pack and used what was working we would have beat them also. He was looking for the highlight play and got it. Instead of the road victory.

Rodgers made a terrible decision throwing that football into double coverage. Even he admitted if he waited another second he had a guy open. Any other QB would get crucified for throwing that ball in that situation.

Not going to lie though, they had a strong start to the season learning a new offense. I hope things don’t start clicking down the road.
