For his troubles, Keenum is getting a $500,000 "restructure bonus" on top of his $7 million salary. To facilitate a trade, the Broncos have agreed to pay half of that. Keenum has agreed to waive the non-guaranteed $10.5 million he had been owed. It is probably the best Keenum and the Broncos could have hoped for. As for the Redskins, Keenum is an improvement on Colt McCoy but not much else. It's a decidedly modest Alex Smith fallback plan. Keenum predictably crash landed last season after his magical 2017 with the Vikings. It is going to be a long year in Washington.

They are paying Keenum backup money at 3.5. He is a very cheap backup plan and was their only option really with how little cap they had and 20 mil already locked up in Smith.

He is one year removed as a Viking and this was considered a "bigger" trade in the NFL so that is why I posted it. I was planning on posting Antonio Browns trade in here when it happens too. Does that mean I'm obsessed with him? No. I just enjoy the NFL. Take your childish trolling somewhere else please.....thanks

It is weird to see two Vikings on the top 10 FAs list. NFL.com had Barr at 6 and Richardson at 9.

Wow what a trade for the Giants! I wish we could have pulled this one off. They just landed one of the best guards in football for Vernon. Make me wonder if we really arent trying to shop Griffen like we thought. Because Griff is a much better pass rusher than Vernon even if he is a few years older. Because I feel like if we were that serious about it, we would have jumped all over that deal. That one kind of ticks me off. We had the ammo to make that trade and basically exchange salaries like they just did. And we didnt pull the trigger when we have two giant holes at guard. Big mistake on Spielman and Zimmers end there.

This is a huge get for GM Dave Gettleman and the Giants. They wanted to get rid of Vernon badly, and not only were they able to accomplish that, they got Zeitler in return, who graded out as Pro Football Focus' top pass-blocking guard in 2018 and turned 29 today. He has three years left on his contract as the league's third-highest paid guard, but Zeitler is certainly worth it. He'll slide in as a foundation piece for the Giants' offensive line. They just need a quarterback, among other things.

Although that trade was probably easier said than done. Griff is 31 and has mental health issues vs Vernon who is 28 and doesnt. Even though he's a lesser talent than Griff, he's more appealing I guess.

Raiders acquired WR Antonio Brown from the Steelers in exchange for third- and fifth-round picks.
Not only has Brown been traded, he has secured a new contract. Per Profootballtalk, Brown's total compensation for the next three years has increased from $38.925 million to $50.125 million, while his guaranteed money has gone from $0 to $30.125 million. In other words, he has done exceptionally well for himself. As for the Raiders, they cried poor with Khalil Mack and bailed on Amari Cooper but have decided to pay Brown. Coach Jon Gruden continues to oscillate between reload and rebuild. At some point, a coherent plan will need to formulate. The wisdom can be questioned, but there is little reason to believe 31-year-old Brown will remain anything other than one of the best players in the league in 2019. The trade compensation is hardly odious. Brown's problem will be his severe downgrade at quarterback. He will probably reach 1,200 yards for the seventh consecutive season, but Derek Carr won't make it easy.

He was too cheap to sign Mack (and now we have to face him twice per year) and too cheap to sign Cooper - both young and dynamic players- and then shells out that much cash for Brown
