NFC Championship Game Thread: Vikings-Eagles

The defense is just so unprepared. Both in terms of game planning and being mentally ready. Zimmer is on the hot seat for me. Everything the defense has been great at all year is just terrible today - that's on Zimmer.

But to say he’s on the hot seat is ridiculous.

For me. He won't be officially. But I won't trust him the same until he gets us to the Superbowl.

I was concerned after the high of last week's finish that the Vikes may have reached an emotional peak too early. I don't know if that's been a factor tonight or not but I've seen that happen to teams before. Maybe they were a little too happy to advance and not focused enough on the game in front of them?

Whatever the problem, this game was another playoff embarrassment. An offseason of uncertainty awaits.

There was something on NFL Channel about teams that win "Miraculous" playoff games and then lose the next one. They showed six in a row that had lost after the big win.
