I'm usually the most pessimistic person on the earth. But the way we are playing, i cant see any of these teams beating us. 4-0!

Possibly the Texans is the toughest, but they are missing some big pieces in their squad at the moment.

I voted 3-1.....it will be hard to continue to play turnover free ball....plus you must factor in the unknown such as injury, bad game, etc. My heart says 4-0 but logic tells me 3-1. Hope my heart wins out.

I expect the Vikings to lose to the weakest team (Bears) in that stretch ala Tampa Bay 1998.

Like many here, my inclination based on years of watching the Purple and Gold, is to expect a loss or two in what ostensibly is a softer part of the schedule than the one we just finished.

But an odd feeling came over me, similar to the one that's undeniably overtaken me late in games when we need a defensive stand--CONFIDENCE. I voted 4-0.

Am I falling once again for the football gods' great joke on me? Time will tell.

Things cant fall our way every week. A few guys on defense will have a down game the same time Bradford makes a couple of reasonable and expected ball security errors. Any team in the league can win if you turn it over and play bad D. I expect atleast two losses.

Does quantified cynicism trump the spiffy gleefulness of the last four weeks? Only a Maybe could answer that question.

I predict 4-0. I think the Texans are beatable. Their Defense is much better than the NYG, but I'm not sure they are any better than the Carolina unit we faced, especially without JJ Watt. Osweiller is no Eli/ARog/Cam, plus the game is at home.

The Philly Game is going to be heavily hyped unless they blow it against the Lions or the Redskins. The Redskins game is one to watch. So far Wentz has been throwing against bottom feeder defenses in CLE, CHI, and PIT. (Yes PIT is a BAD defense.) DET is awful on D as well, so the Wentz party should keep going this week. The game against WSH will likely be the best defensive team they've seen this season. The Redksins are not an elite team, but they won their division last year. If he struggles there, then I think the game is a win. Even if they win that game, Wentz hasn't faced a Defense anywhere near what he will see when the Vikings come to town. We just shut down 3 SB QBs in 3 straight weeks. Maybe Wentz is the next big thing, but I highly doubt a rookie, no matter how talented, is going to put up big numbers against the Zimm Reapers.

It is fair to point out that the Eagles D held PIT to 3 points (!). That is impressive. Unless Wentz is shown to be a poser, I expect this to be a gritty game and the one we are most likely to lose.

The other two are division games and shouldn't be taken lightly. Those can be losses. However, CHI and DET look REALLY bad right now. We should not lose those games.

As long as we stay a game ahead of the Packers, I don't care if we 4-0 or 0-4. But I think it will be 3-1. With loss to either the Texans, Bears, Eagles or Lions.

Right. Things HAVEN'T fallen our way thus far either. Case in point: Blair Walsh.

I feel confident that we are good enough to withstand some bad breaks, at least against the next four teams on our schedule. The Eagles game will be a solid test; actually all four will be for different reasons. But I think we are the favorite in each and I think we will win all four. :v):

I dont think we are going to have a stinker I just think we are going to have one of those games were Griffen looks flat a smith blows a coverage and Bradford throws an interception. ALL NFL teams are good enough to win if you let them.

Also I hardly think 2 missed field goals in non game winning situations counts as not going right for us. Barring 09 I cant think of another season where in GAMES things have gone more our way. We are getting turn overs when we need them, miscues by the opposing team when they are useful, good penalty luck. Our opponent on Sunday lost their once in a generation Defensive player. Things are going rather well for us.

I can't tell if you're joking, but I think you're not.

What in the world counts, then? What kind of catastrophe must we fear?

My point is that your post above presumes that we have had every lucky break go our way. I'm simply pointing out that it is not so. We've lost important players to injury; We've had a kicker who seems to be going through an existential crisis; we've had a guy (Tre Waynes) play a spotty game full of major PI penalties (in a game in which we caused many fumbles that should have been TOs, but the ball did NOT bounce our way)... and we've managed to overcome.

I'm feeling another 4-0 stretch. I readily admit that it is an odd feeling, given this franchise's history. If you're not feeling 4-0, cool, no problem. We'll soon see what goes down. :)
