Yes, Diggs definitely has some soul to him. You can tell he cares.
When they were interviewing Cris Carter on the field and he said he "likes the new Diggs" (referring to the stadium but maybe double meaning) Diggs went running out of the huddle, pointing at the screen.
Did they show that stuff on tv? They interviewed a lot of past Vikings throughout the night.
I watched the game again on the coaches view....Kalil and Fusco were PUTRID. What the heck do the coaches see in these overpaid Beach Balls?! Bradford is going to get killed with those 2 on the field. We certainly wont be power running with them either. I suppose we are better off with Asiata, etc running gimmick runs cause we sure done have the OL for an in your face power game
Help me remember: Was Kalil injured during the week leading up to the GB game?
I remember reading that he has had to play often with nagging injuries because the coaches feel that even when injured he's a better option than his backup. It speaks to how horrendous his backup is and I'm not trying to defend Kalil so much as understand his poor performance last night. I think this is his last year, unless he miraculously turns it around. His frequent injuries are part of the problem--he just can't get fully healthy it seems. We need someone dependable there.

I think he sat out 2 practices cause of his hip.
I don't generally believe he is as poor as most feel but he is definitely injury prone and I wouldn't be amazed if he were to retire this year or next.

Yes, he's been dealing with an injured hip. (

One of the greatest feelings I've had as a Vikings fan happened last night when in the middle of Trae Waynes getting abused, I looked at my fiancé and said "Trae Waynes is going to make a big play for this team. Trae Waynes is going to make a huge, game changing play for this team."
Fast forward 45 minutes and with the ball in the air towards his side of the field I just KNEW what was happening. I started screaming his name before he even came down with the ball and the explosion of cheers that came out of our living room probably woke up a few dogs overseas.
Having that kind of faith in your players and being rewarded for it is so, so gratifying.

I had a very similar feeling, but i didn't vocalize it until after the game was over because i didn't want to jinx it. But it did feel good last night having that faith in our team and that trust in our players that they weren't going to just screw it up. I don't know about most of you but i haven't had that kind of trust in the team since 1998, unfortunately that was my first real taste of the Vikings snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The penalties really stopped us from really running away with this one. Luckily that is something that is within our control to fix. Waynes is obviously a great player. I look forward to seeing him and Rhodes as they grow together.
The culture shift and the solid foundation that this team is built upon has me excited for a dominate decade. Or more.

I'll set the bar even lower. If he goes for 250+ yards and leads an offensive touchdown drive I'll buy one tonight. For everyone on the board

I hear you. http://www.vikingsmessageboard.com/view ... &start=600 I had that same confidence before Waynes got the INT. Didn't know how the Vikings Defense was going to stop Green Bay, but I knew they would. That is the confidence I had in this Zimmer coached defense. It was a great feeling when Waynes did get the INT. I haven't had that kind of confidence in our defense in a long time.
Autobon7 could give Nostradamus a run for his money if you look 4 posts below mine.
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!

There were 3 of us in there that believed in the D's ability to come up with a stop (see my post two below Autobon7)... everyone else was watching through their fingers wincing at the inevitable death march Rodgers was about to orchestrate. I agree, DK, it feels so wonderfully different to have faith in your team and in your D. It's hard to overcome years of seeing the last minute failures that break a fan's heart.
