It might have helped if I'd included the "t" in not".
I don't know how many years a guy has to live in TX to become a Texan, but I think I will always consider myself a Minnesotan, even though I've come to like TX quite a bit. Now, being a HOUSTON Texan? I'd take the salary, but that's a weak sauce team. I don't dislike them like the Cowboys, but they're just kind of meh. I liked the old Oilers: four wideouts, very exciting ball.
I liked that team too. I also liked the even older Houston Oilers with Dan Pastorini, Earl Campbell, coach Bum Phillips and a tough defense!

Source says a candidate to replace Rhett Ellison at tight end for the #Vikings could be Dallas' James Hanna, a top blocker and a fast guy.

Hmm...
The #Vikings are signing S Michael Griffin, formerly of the #Titans, source said.
#Vikings , according to @RapSheet have gone younger at safety (barely 31 to 33) with Michael Griffin. No Reggie Nelson coming to #Vikings.
Source says Michael Griffin's deal is for one year. With incentives will be worth between $3.5 and $4 million.
The plan is for Michael Griffin to most likely be your #Vikings starting strong safety next year alongside free safety Harrison Smith.

Warm fuzzies
The #Vikings are in discussions with Chitta Mallik & Tony Paige, agents of FB Rhett Ellison, to bring Ellison back to Minnesota.

Aren't Griffin and Nelson fairly similar type players?

Walter Football is not the end all authority, but they have Nelson rated as the number 5 free agent safety, Sendejo at 28 and Griffin at 34.

EDIT: And for the heck of it they had Blanton at # 31.

Mike Harris said his deal with the #Vikings is signed. It is worth $1.9 million but incentives could make it worth as much as $3 million.
Peanuts.

We sign Michael Griffin for a year, somewhat surprised and shaking my head at this move. For what we're paying for Griffin & Sendejo we could of had Iloka. I guess Nelson is not in the equation anymore...
What if Harris beats them both in training camp. Then what ??

Griffin joins Newman (?), Rhodes, Waynes and Smith to become the FIFTH R1 pick in the Vikings secondary.

Ouch. I remember him coming out of college being a pretty nice player-went in the 1st rd and made a couple of pro bowls. I haven't followed him the last few years...he must've had a steep fall off if he is ranked 34.

I read the rankings... I don't agree with 90% of it.

I hope you are right. And hopefully Zimmer sees something.
