They play tonight!

This looks plausable

Case 5
Vikings beats the Bears, and
Jaguars beats or ties the Falcons, and
Rams beats or ties the Buccaneers, and
Bills beats or ties the Redskins

After the Giants won last night it's now down to 8 scenarios with 4 of them involving Vikings ties. Here's the remaining four scenarios that involve the Vikings winning:

Case 1
Vikings beats the Bears, and
Rams beats or ties the Buccaneers, and
Panthers beats or ties the Giants, and
Jaguars beats or ties the Falcons

Case 2
Vikings beats the Bears, and
Rams beats or ties the Buccaneers, and
Panthers beats or ties the Giants, and
Browns beats or ties the Seahawks

Case 3
Vikings beats the Bears, and
Rams beats or ties the Buccaneers, and
Jaguars beats or ties the Falcons, and
Bills beats or ties the Redskins

Case 4
Vikings beats the Bears, and
Rams beats or ties the Buccaneers, and
Bills beats or ties the Redskins, and
Browns beats or ties the Seahawks

Great scenarios, but, as others have said - this team needs to win. And keep winning. They don't deserve the playoffs due to technicality. I am sure you feel the same way.

Absolutely. I'm just a math guy (B.S. in math, M.A in Math Education). I like seeing how numbers play out and what not. I believe that if they don't win at least 2 out of there next 3 (and I hope for 3 out of 3) games they have no business being in the playoffs. But it's nice to see how it's possible for them to make it a guarantee this weekend.

All I know is this. Any combination of a Vikings victory and a Packers loss in the next two weeks sets up the last game for the Division. Period. And that is my goal, to see the Vikings beat the Packers, take the division and have the Packers as a wildcard.

Interestingly enough, the Packers have insured that no matter what happens over the next two games they will at worst have a chance to win the division the final game of the season. Its really on the Vikings to uphold their end of the bargain.

My current thoughts on the playoffs. Now mind you this is before the Giants game. IF Teddy keeps playing at the level he has the last two weeks I think there are only two team the Vikings would have a hard time beating. Carolina and Seattle. That's it. Now, as long as they don't have to play both of those teams in the playoffs could they make it to the Super Bowl? Yes. But it all depends on Teddy's play. We shall see.

I agree on who will be most difficult, but if the defense can stay healthy anything goes. Newton and Wilson and their running games do pose some big problems where Barr and Smith could pay big dividends.
If ATL somehow beats CAR today, tonights game is a must win imo.

It would only be a must win if the Seahawks lose as well.
