Tough to throw a sideline route for a 23 year old? Dan Marino was 23 years old when he threw for 20 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions in 1983. Wow, the Vikings played good, but quit making excuses for Teddy.
32 yrs ago the NFL was way different than today, players are bigger and faster now.
Actually, the passing game was much MORE difficult back then. Few pass interference calls, and QB's could be hit without penalty for the most part. Actually, throwing for a high passer rating 30 years ago was much more difficult. Ask anyone if this right, they will tell you it is. The NFL has seen passing numbers the last 5 years that were never seen before because of new rules that stifle the passing defense.
Still, a good game though.
Go ahead and discount the fact that the Cardinals have one of the, if not the best DBs in the game . Crap what a bunch of second guessing armchair quarterbacks.
